Ravel worth 3.5 mill 15:54 - Jun 1 with 4180 views | 08olesen | Really odd. He put a message on his instagram saying that he was excited to be valued at 3.5 million. He has since taken it down. Dont want to jump the gun, but if we managed to get him for 3.5 million then that is an absolute steal and remy and taarabt can fark right off. [Post edited 1 Jun 2014 18:46]

Ravel worth 3.5 mill on 17:03 - Jun 1 with 3839 views | wood_hoop | Worth the investment if HR can get him to sign, very good player and could be worth double that if playing like he has shown glimpses of so far on a consistent basis, type of player we should be taking on board and with Granero also linked to coming back into the fold could look a much more interesting and dangerous foe to face than much of last season. Very interesting to have technically good players to help Austin and who ever else HR may use as the main strike force, severe lack of playmakers nearly cost us the past season, very much a case of Austin and others battling fruitlessly by themselves, Austin proved he is capable of playing and scoring despite a lack of real support for much of the time, just how many more goals could he score with others making those plays that can split defences. Still very early doors and HR may decide to stick with the tried and tested, depends on who he sees as his back four, Yun should without doubt be first pick from the off, Nedum also another that should be first choice, centre defence could well be a place where investment has to be made, Dunne heroics for the last few games but age may have caught up by now and the pace and skill of Prem forwards will tear him apart, Lescott type would be ideal, steady and reliable, cool head and help those defenders around him, not going to be easy to find some players that fit in that easy but I suppose TF will have given him a decent war chest so that may help some way to finding players.
Ravel worth 3.5 mill on 18:05 - Jun 1 with 3582 views | Lblock | Anything under £5mill will come with a a sell on percentage of around 25% I reckon. No matter and I can see why he'd be valued at £3.5mill due to previous baggage and not having really done it at the top level (bar that goal v Spurs) consistently. It's like Adel but even a touch younger and I personally think he could be far better. If this is the case then to the bungle boys I say get it done - NOW!

Exactly. That's about what he's worth. Any team is taking somewhat of a gamble on him hence the price.

Sorry I dont agree with that , In the home game against Wigan he came on , sat in front of a young full back , in one instance appearing in his own six yard box to chest a cross backto Green . Every time we cleared it he sprinted out to close them down and cleared one off the line in the last seconds . He has shown commitment to the cause and always looks happy to be part of the squad . 3.5 mill is cheap IMO bearing in mind he has played well in the Prem .

Ravel worth 3.5 mill on 20:15 - Jun 1 with 3016 views | 08olesen | 3.5 is good now and in few years time he could be worth 20. He is class and i think the fact that he didnt start the play offs makes people forget how crucial he was to us after January. I would pay up to 6 million for him, he has as much potential as Barkley IMO, he just doesn't have that temperament.

Ravel worth 3.5 mill on 20:37 - Jun 1 with 2932 views | stansleftfoot | Ravel is not worth £3.5 million. Ravel's career is moving along at a pace, he'll be 22 next birthday, 20 Year old Ross Barkley is in Brazil for his first World Cup and will probably get on the pitch. Ravel is substantially behind his peers, and has effectively been passed on by the three clubs he played for before QPR. £3.5 Million as a valuation is pretty meaningless, his worth is going to become apparent in the next few years. His agent and West Ham United, the club he is contracted to, would have been puzzled to see Ravel Morrisson "advertising" himself via Instagram on a Sunday afternoon for £3.5 Million even if he was for sale. Not sure anybody would pay that upfront currently even if he was for sale, I don't think the Lad's very bright, he needs to buckle down and get on message. If there is some business to be done, it's a years loan next season with a buyers option with £3.5 million reserve depending on appearances and goals. Don't think we'll see Ravel Morrisson at QPR anytime soon. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Ravel worth 3.5 mill on 21:07 - Jun 1 with 2799 views | danehoop | Lot of nonsense being talked by some on here. His girlfriend has just had their first child and he has spent most the past year getting his head down, growing up and focusing on his football. He was playing well for the spammers and really starting to have an impact. then Fat Sam told him to change his agent to one of Sams preferred mates. The player refused and was suddenly dropped like hot bricks by the ever lovable and completely trustworthy , sorry that should have read bung taking fat git. Fat Sam has made clear he wont play for the Spammers again until he changes agent, so hence his loan to us. He played well for us, considering he had only been with the team for a short space of time and showed real potential. Worth a gamble if we can get him, but I suspect the price has just doubled now he posted that up.

What are you on about, you say Ravel will be 22, Barkley will be 21, a year older makes no difference. You say Ravel is 'substantially behind his peers' what an ambiguous statement. Who do you mean by that Will Keane, Zaha?..... both have had worse seasons than him, and there arnt many 21 year olds who have done better. So the fact that you don't seem to think he is good enough is astounding. Who do you think will create anything if we dont keep either Ravel or Taarabt......faurlin is very uncertain after his ACL and the same with Granero.

Ravel worth 3.5 mill on 21:52 - Jun 1 with 2606 views | CiderwithRsie | As Clive always says, there is a reason if a player is playing for us and not for e.g. Man City. In his case its clearly his attitude. At least Redknapp has first hand experience of him and if we do sign him it should mean that Harry reckons he can get the best out of him. Sterling at Liverpool clearly had some growing up to do a year or so ago and has come on in leaps and bounds, which shows how players can mature. As I recall neither Rodney nor Stan were considered sound when we signed them. It would be nice to think that fatherhood might be the making of Morrison.
Ravel worth 3.5 mill on 23:02 - Jun 1 with 2481 views | qpr1976 | Without Morrison and his goals, we probably wouldn't have made the Playoffs - IMO But he does have to stop diving and playing for free kicks & pens.
Ravel worth 3.5 mill on 00:52 - Jun 2 with 2354 views | RangersAreBack | Creativity and youth is clearly lacking in our squad, attributes which Ravel possesses in abundance. If he knuckles down he will be a steal at that price.
Ravel worth 3.5 mill on 02:41 - Jun 2 with 2320 views | hoopdog | Clearly has the ability ,his attitude when he gets nothing from the ref he needs to get right instead of constant carping at the ref and fading out ,3.5 is about right . Now if he had the temperament of Sean Dery or Clint Hill then you could have a great player on your hands

I think that's an astute point - for all we've been impressed by Austin's work ethic and hold up play, he is a finisher. If we can have quality players creating the chances for him, I am certain he will be a premier league smash

I had to look troll up so forgive me, No, I'm sorry if my fellow forum frequenters disagree with me, it is merely my opinion. I think the evidence bears me out, but I could be wrong, I don't think there's any value in developing my argument as the detail of 6 months here and a year there is beyond my resources in relation to peers. Raheem Sterling at 19 and Ross Barkley at 21 years old are clearly the two of the outstanding young players in the English game. They along with Shaw, Redmond, Wickham, Henderson, Ward-Prowse, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wilshire and many others who hold down places regularly in Premiership sides are Ravel Morrissons peers, it is from this evidence which seems to tell me, that Ravel is failing to perform consistently at the same level. Had we been a Championship side next year i think we could have profitably loaned him in next year and contributed to his successful progress and future, I don't think WHU would loan him to us as a Premiership side. I understand and recognise the need for creativity in the QPR squad, I think there's a better way of investing £3.5 million than spending a lot of time in an escalating bidding battle to buy Ravel Morrisson out of an existing contract that has a year to run. WHU have turned down bids of £4 Million and £5 Million from Fulham, they wanted £10 million. Man Utd let Ravel go for £650,000....I think there are better places to look currently other than another loan....I don't think the evidence is there to support Ravel's price of £3.5 million. My apologies but it is my opinion....we'll wait and see! I will probably be wrong because, of course, Harry now knows Ravel!
