Can someone enlighten me please?

I assume Spratty's Law is a PS version of Godwin's Law ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin's_law ) except with Laudrup replacing Hitler.

I assume Besic refers to the glaring error made by the player of that name in his first game for Everton after he was touted by many as the answer to our DM problems.

Both may be 100% wrong, however, just my guesses.

You are correct on Spratty's Law.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

I believe Besic is an extrapolation of the Ferdinand mechanic.

Ok so do I take it that Besic is the default reply when you don't know the answer, or am I missing the point?

I got the Spratty bit anyway

When news broke of Sir Les having signed for Reading, there was an outbreak of spontaneous excitement on the forum. I'm not sure why. It may not be an exaggeration to say that there were up to ten separate threads all titled " Sir Les has signed for Reading" on the page at the same time. It has since been known as a Ferdy when someone posts news that has already been posted multiple times.
I believe something similar happened when Besic made such an entertaining start to his Everton career(given the interest we had in him).

The excitement was because we were due to play Reading a few days later. Might have been a cup game.

It was a cup game. The board was great back then.

Definitely the Vetch. It said on the radio the other day that we'd been in the Liberty for 10 years. I can't be arsed to check but that sounds like a bit of a stretch.

I used to come on here quite a lot up until we left the Vetch, can't remember any of this, but vaguely remember hearing someone use the term Ferdy at a game. Now I know what it meant. Every day's a school day.
