Have to give a shout out to Jack Cork. Thought he was excellent today. Him and Williams in centre really did look the part! Closed on the opposition really well. Also thought Kyle Naughton did very well too and deserves a mention!

Our backs are coming together rather nicely with the mids I think! But overall I think Cork stood out today!

He was great, wasn't he. Looks like we've finally found Leon's successor.

Brilliant player, contended for so many headers when needed!

Trundle could still do a job..

Dealt with Fellaini in a way that we haven't managed to in our premier league era. He's often bullied us out of games but not today!

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.
Poll: Should Dippy Drakeford do us all a massive favour and just bog off?

Man of match for me today. Tenacious and calm when he had the ball. Great performance

Yes agreed, he appears to have settled in and is looking a quality addition. We suspected he would be a great buy based on what we've seen before and the S'ton fans' view of him. but it's nice to see it actually working out. Not convinced by people saying Gomis had a good game though. Seemed to go hiding behind his marker and strayed offside too often when we needed an outlet. There were a few nice moments from him, but it's obvious he isn't quite on the same page as the rest of them yet.

Agree 100%. That was the best I have seen us deal with Fellaini and it was mainly down to Cork.

He was triffic. Looks like a steal of a signing on today's evidence.

Think there's a lot more to come from him too.

If his dad was right on Twitter, £1.5m is an absolute steal.

My MOM without a doubt, he will thrive with the extra responsibility being put on him. He was in and out of the side at Saints, looks like he will be one of the mainstays here for the foreseeable.

Indeed.

He was our best player today.

Really solid game from him today, broke up play well, competed well with Fellaini and kept play moving when he got the ball, very impressed.

Naughton looks like a good acquisition so far as well.

About time Southampton had a player stolen off them after the remarkable largesse shown to them in the market last summer. Still have a chuckle at £20 million for Lovren.

If someone had to write a job description of a defensive midfielder, they would base it on his performance today. Magnificent.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

I agree with all. A great performance and that Ki and Shelvey did not do badly either. Against lesser teams I would expect us to start bossing the midfield big time in future. Then there is Leon waiting in the wings.........

Absolute stunning signing. This lad is really going to flourish here what a great attitude and skill set he has. I think Ronald slipped up selling this boy.

Been a critical area for swans via little Leon et al since we arrived on the big stage. Allows us to control games and impose our style on others. Its not been as good this season and injuries have not helped. Great to see young jack do so well today in that area.

Hope that's true, £1.5m would be a very decent deal. Thought we were overpaying after hearing the initial reports of £3m

Koeman didn't want him to leave....lucky for us that he didn't want to select him either.
Yet another fantastic signing by GM....and what about the BIG POLE IN OUR GOAL, eh?!!?
Gotta be up there with Courtois, Lloris & De Gea.
