tomorrow can't come quick enough 14:17 - Oct 16 with 2021749 viewsbatman

Not for us, but for Bury.
i was credit checking a potential customer and decided to nosey onto
BFC's file and was (or maybe not) supprised to see a new CCJ for circa £22k lodged
only Wednesday this week.
looks like they are in need of a bumper crowd tomorrow to settle some bills

How will bury as a town die? I thought they had a 'World Famous Market', The Rock and a PC World.

PC World died ages ago just like the Football Club is doing at present.

My all time favourite Dale player Mr Lyndon Symmonds

Average attendance last season 4044

Fooks sake, don’t mention average attendance per population. Skyblueshaker will be getting all excited comparing the population of bury against Rochdale’s. #crowdcunter

...hey, just take a read of this.

4th stab point down : "Bunn revealed some players have had to forego family holidays this summer".

NO WAY!! Does the Government know about this?

It's almost as bad as one of their ex-employees who went public in having to admit they'll now have to go on holiday "on their parents credit cards" (not actually on them physically...I think...oh, maybe so).

Here's the rest of the Bunn fight.

The mad woman now says bury as a town will die on Friday if SD2 doesn't sell?

The town will die? Really? She's in a very poor state of mind that one

Looking at the comments at the bottom of that article Bunn isn't getting much sympathy.
It might have backfired on him crying poverty when he admits that his wife is a teacher.
And he also states that Paul Wilkinson has brought in his own staff including a new physio and an analyst.
The latter should be redundant (if he is getting paid) because he's nothing to analyse.....

Particularly love this comment:

How would you feel if you hadn't been paid for 3 months, bet you wouldn't be very happy, he was a division 2 player last year, so he wouldn't be on a massive salary!

Oh Billy, if only you knew

Hmmmm, good 'un.
I don't want to and won't go through this again so it's a no to Smurthwaite, but also I haven't got the energy for a phoenix. That's not Bury is it?
I don't know what I want any more. All I know is that this has rumbled on since before we were promoted - we never really got to enjoy that promotion beyond the Tuesday night in Tranmere (arguments about whether we deserved to enjoy it aside) and I'm completely sick and tired of it all now.

I can help you with that one!

You didn’t deserve it.

You had players and a training complex than is obvious now to everybody bury could never afford.

You smoked a crack pipe for 6 years and now your complaining that you have no teeth. Worse still you want crowd funding to pay for a trip to Budapest for a new set!

I'd imagine that away from the sideshow at Gigg, apathy (and embarrassment?) is probably replacing anger as the main emotion amongst those of you who never wanted to just enjoy the ride? Not that I think Bury have a choice now (how can the EFL ratify a takeover before Friday?) but a phoenix club would at least give everybody a cause to rally behind.

Exactly. Even if a miracle does happen and a sale goes through, what hope is there of the EFL allowing us to stay in the league? None now, it's too late.
The fact that they've laid out the plans for the league without us now tells you all you need to know.
Can you imagine a phoenix club? Seriously? It wouldn't get off the ground. Too many fractions.

To be fair, though, he hasn't actually cried poverty. He's saying he hasn't been paid for months, which is fact. Whatever his wife does or earns doesn't alter that fact as they would have a standard of living (and a child on the way) based on two wages coming in.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Oh Batman, if only you could have monetised this thread like you said when it started to take off!

Hi All
I’ve been lurking around the thread since it’s conception
without much comment. I was going to pen something at
work today but was too busy to do so.
I’m flattered 🤓 that it has caused much amusement on
This board and equal consternation on t’other board.

With regards to any financial rewards (not that there bloody is any)
I’m not bothered about. If it’s helped in anyway to keep THIS board
ticking over with ‘clicks’ then I’m happy

When I get a minute I’ll give my two penneth on this on this sorry affair,
but as my opening post alluded to, I along with many many of my
fellow Daley’s could see what was happening before our eyes and
unfortunately but for the few Shakers that could also see this, the rest
could not.
The rest just bought into the 2SD’s vision of a pot at the end of the rainbow
They couldn’t see it was just a ‘piss pot’ and now they don’t even have
that left to piss in to.

Nice one!

While you're at it, d'you think you could PM me this Friday's Euromillion winning numbers; obviously before the draw and I promise to share but please don't tell Robin or The Joker.

Long Live Gotham City...perhaps a great name for a new start-up footie club?

An interesting news item on BBC local news this evening showed one Bury supporter trying to kick in the BFC front door. Classy. They then showed the 30 or so supporters who had gathered following the call for people to go along to Gigg Lane, before finally interviewing Joy who had moved from her drainpipe to some railings. She was comparing Bury to MU and City, spoke about their 2 FA cup wins and spoke about all the small businesses that would die if the club folded.
Seldom have I seen such overt hypocrasy. It was embarassing in the extreme.

The hypocrisy was beyond belief. That self-centered deluded woman paps on about winning the FA cup 119 years ago and being as big as City and United, but what about all the businesses who kept bury fc going for years, unpaid? They have been turned over for 75% of payments due while you were enjoying the ride YOUR club (as we keep being told) could never afford. Here they are... go and bleat to these businesses, the real losers in all this.
