This is standard procedure in anything related to bury fc - spend a load of money you haven't got on an ambition with a low percentage chance of success. Then start whining for the sympathy vote when the bills come in.

Since the competition has already started, I'm guessing when it gets to the first round draw, one team will get a bye, as happened when Man United withdrew that time. |
Am I right in thinking that, Darlington who lost in the 2nd round were given United's place in the 3rd round as a 'lucky loser'?

Or you could make the two highest ranked clubs in 2018/9 (ie Yeovil and Notts County) exempt until the 1st round. That would seem fair as they were exempt until the 4th QR anyway.
The end of the season will be interesting as it will no longer be possible for all clubs to play on the last day to ensure fair play. Fleetwood will finish the week before, which could pose a problem if they are involved in a promotion or relegation fight. |  | | |

The ignorance to every other League One team is what I find amazing. TTFKABFC, Bolton and The EFL have have already made this season unfair on a number of teams, Doncaster miss their second scheduled fixture tomorrow through no fault of their own meaning that they are two games behind a number of teams in our division and as you say Fleetwood will finish the season a week before everyone else, yet one TTFKABFC supporter has created a thread on Beardy Man asking for other clubs particularly League One clubs to go on strike in protest of their treatment from The EFL!
