Much depends on R's lineup and the form of our old mate Nahki Wells. Jimmy could pull off a masterstroke of nous by playing Smithies against his former employers but I suspect he won't.(thanks Rob,gypped me out of 1-1 last time out and a nice little pay day) Nevertheless am going for a sneaky and combative 2-1 win.

A team picked by 'Sir Les' and hamstrung by having to play Cnt Green.
What do you expect...
Thanks for that. I do like a good story.

I just don't get how it's so difficult to play Hall and Onuha as the centre backs. Whatever we think of Henry he played well at Right back when Warnock played him there so at least if they don't think Furlong is ready they could play him there. Onuaha is just not very good at RB so by taking him out the centre we weaken the whole defence and the whole team loses confidence and focus.
Even Henry thought he would come on when Perch got injured v Brighton if you looked at Onuha's face when he was sent to Right back he looked well angry/gutted. Since then any confidence we built up with Warnock and .early JFH seems to have gone I Agree with Hunterhoop that if you can build from the two centre backs it makes a massive difference to the team.
Totally fcked of with Green again nearly fcked up again after the goal punching the ball . He's just a rich Tony Roberts.
I listened on that Terriers 1908 and they slaughtered us mainly as a result of the above. They made it sound like Hill had a bit of a mare was that true ?

The conspiracy theories about black subversion, Sir Les being the machiavellian selector in chief, endless calls for new players and managers, and soul sucking comments by posters who don't even attend have taken their toll. I get the feeling a minority on here get more joy from a defeat than a victory.
I'll sure some of you will enjoy a break from myself as well! I'll be lurking now and again.
Enjoy x

I agree there are people on here that seem to relish a loss. Also crazy the way they want a new manager every time we lose a couple of matches.
Would be a shame if you stopped posting, if only to keep some balance. It is soul-sapping to see the negativity. Don't see that as the same as criticism by the way. Seeing ways we could improve is not the same as the constant barracking and the pleasure of 'I told you so' that emerges every time we lose.

your right there pal. What the players need to learn is that we should be winning at home, and not give away silly late goals. In the 4 games since our new manager joined we´ve lost 4 valuable points at home, and also 4 pts away i.e. bristol tities and at ipswich, the players rucked up due to late goals . as you rightly say we will be back, ive been here for 50 years now, we are all guttons for punishment mate! You Rsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Well you dont get much more positive than me . I have got form for backing the manager until he leaves carrying his desk in a box and I am right behind the manager now but..
I went today and can honestly say that is among the ten worst performances (not results) that I have ever seen . Whether the the amount of games was the reason or some are trying to stay fit for the transfer window I couldnt say but as a stand alone performance that was absolute garbage , against a half decent team we would have been battered...

Yes I agree it was shocking. Appalling. Garbage. Anyone seeing that performance would be disappointed, not only with individual performances but I would also guess with team selection.
Difference is: you're not calling for the manager's head after four matches. Surely we've got to give him the chance to test out the whole squad. We've had the advantage of seeing them all play before. If he's still playing that team in ten matches time with the same results, slagging him off might be more justified.

a diabolical game....as bad as the swansea 0-0 away when their goalie was injured and they put a 17 yr old kid in goal, on debut and he was left back,,, and we got no shots on goal!!! dowie went soon after..hrs after...
the team looked lost, sorry, disjointed, poor passing, no marking, no forward, disinterested, unfit and let in a late goal again answer? ANSWER???? BRING BACK RAMSEY, FFS lol and breathe...
