This. He tweaked it in the warm up. Medical team took a look at it and decided to pull him in case he really damaged it. Hopefully a sensible precaution. Masterson did well to be ready but we missed the current Hall/Barbet combination at the back. That said, good management re Hall and well done Masterson for stepping in at very late notice. |  |

It is strange that we were all asking that eventually we would like to see the Masterton - Barbet combination as that is what we would expect for next season to be the lineup at the back. However, here, Masterton was given strict instructions - not to do long passes. The one time, late in the game, he tried a long pass sideways it was intercepted before it got to Ryan. Otherwise almost every pass he made was to either Rangel or Barbet. In that, he did well.
Yes there were errors in the defence but we didn't lose and there is still a long way to go in Masterton and hopefully with a combination with Barbet or a youngster in the future. |  | | |
