EGM tomorrow 08:14 - Jun 29 with 6340 viewsjudd

The deadline to nominate proxies for the EGM has now passed so it is very important that as many shareholders as possible attend tomorrow in order to support the motions.

Starts at 7pm in the Ratcliffe Arms, which is a public, not Morton, House.

Poll: What is it to be then?

Is there not now a question regarding the money used to buy the shares? Was this money legally obtained? Can MH account for where the money came from in the first place? Do they have Invoice receipts, relevant tax documents etc? It would be difficult for the Club to permit the shares to be transferred if there is a chance that they might have been bought using the proceeds of a crime.

It's more of a question for the EFL 49th.

· any person(s) to acquire Control (as defined in Regulation 1) of the Club until such time as the information relating to source and sufficiency of funding has been provided and approved by The League.

Source AND Sufficiency.

The EFL have to assess both and give clearance under these mandatory articles.

Of course, any reasonable credible buyer of something will give that proof for review.

I'm not sure what the EFL checks are on people for things like money laundering or proceeds of crime but you would think that they have some checks given the number of international people and the vast levels of money sloshing around the game.
