RAFC Shareholders - Morton House = 0 11:22 - Jun 29 with 4577 views | Sandyman | The updated RAFC confirmation statement (shareholders listing) is now available at the Companies House website. https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/00111019/fili It appears that the traitors shares are still listed as being in their name and not Morton House. Guessing that is due to the EFL intervention last year. Morton House does not appear on this statement at all. Makes previous claims of "owning 43%" of the club by some people look... erm... untrue. RAFC Shareholders - Morton House = 0 on 11:52 - Jun 29 with 4511 views | judd | ...and according to the Athletic article (I think it was), applications were made by Matthew Southall, David Bottomley and 2 associates of Southall's, to buy shares during the last issue. Bottomley is still a registered shareholder but the other 3 are not.

It's a bit like the deeds to a house. You could give me some money and I could hand over the keys. If the deeds aren't properly exchanged then you wouldn't own the house.

More relevant (to the Morton House saga) is that I could take a packet of sweets from a supermarket counter, offer them at a price to a fellow shopper and we would have a contract - even though I didn't 'own' those sweets [Post edited 29 Jun 2022 13:59]

Never take sweets from strangers. They always have an ulterior motive!

Yep. Your the legal owner of the shares only when the holding is registered on the share register.

Legally they cannot force the donor to do anything against that donors wishes.
