Apologies if this is common knowledge, but I saw a few bits on twitter from fans of McNulty's previous clubs about his kidney & did some googling... I had never heard about this happening before. Sounds painful!

Out of the blue a fellow in the pub (Brighton fan - I must have mentioned that i was a Dale fan previously ) said Jim has taken over interim manager of Dale, of course I knew that however, I didn't know (according to this Brighton Fan) that Jim suffered a serious kidney injury whilst playing for Brighton - I don't want to say too much as it's 3rd hand information however, apparently we are talking major surgery - I'm shocked !
