A little word for HullDale who's been missing from setting up these match threads lately - hope you're ok mate and get yourself back amongst us as soon as you're ready.
As for today, indeed more of the same please. Wouldn't be surprised if the last couple of performances have come from a place of freedom and pressure release that being cut adrift can sometimes bring, in a weird sort of way. As we inch closer to the two above us there's the potential to start over thinking and forcing things a bit again. Let's hope that doesn't manifest and the tempo stays free flowing and easy on the eye. Best of luck lads! | | | |

4 pages on Gary Lineker and bugger all on this says it all.
It felt like a real dull, nothing game in the first half, but one that was there for the taking. A good finish for their goal was probably the only real bit of quality in the game. We had chances and a few cleared off the line but it'd be a tough sell to say we deserved to win. We just look toothless in attack.
The task doesn't change, for me, we need to win five games between now and the end of the season. A tough ask indeed. | | | |

29 goals in 36 games tells the whole story. You have to score to win games. Bentley has shored up the defence but has done little to improve the scoring rate. Perhaps if Henderson had a better partner than Quigley we may have done better but I cant see what either Quigley or Rodney brings to the table, no pace, no ability in the air, no creativity, nothing to worry a competent defender. Equally we have no attacking midfield to speak of.
Last season we scored 51, statistically this season we are only likely to score 8 more so 37 in 46 games or 0.8 goals per game, 4 goals every 5 games. 14 more goals as per last season could easily have earned a point per goal so we could be expecting to end up on 40+ points. I look at the forwards and midfield and nowhere are there 50 - 60 goals per season it would require 4 players into double figures and another on 20 at least. I can't even see a goal per game. We are desperate for the elusive 20 goals per season player, but I doubt we can afford one. |  | | |
