Next season s squad - any one got suggestions for signings 22:13 - May 4 with 22186 viewsnumptydumpty

Seen as Reading down and his dad got sacked and no idea if we can afford his wages but we certainly need more strength and ability in midfield, think Tom Ince could be a decent shout.

Can't see him playing in league one.

Guessing money could be an issue though.

Don't get carried away - I imagine our budget will be zero.

Tom Ince is a decent player, but he's on big wages and has one year left. In addition, he is over 30, so, an unsellable player once we sign him.

No thanks.

We should be getting players from L1 who are the next Eze's not looking in the past as we cannot afford it.

zzzzzzzzzz

Some site suggest we should try to sign Ogbene from Rotherham. Right winger, 8 goals this season and out of contract in june.

I think we should at least try to get him.

Given what we’ve been through this season, Tom Ince is a resounding NO with bells on.

I wouldn’t put it past Les though.

Ejaria would be a decent signing ..

If you've heard of them or want them we won't be signing them.

Our 'best' players in the Les era are all kids we picked up from the scrap heap or brought through from our own academy
Dieng, Furlong, Field, Manning, Eze, Bright, Chair

Rarely when we go out and spend money has it actually paid off. Dickie and Willock the exception

This summer will be lots of 20-23 year olds you've never heard of and a few elder statesmen you didn't know were still playing/rotting in Bournemouth or Palace's reserves

I thought so too but checking his stats I don't know why he's been highly rated. Hardly played this season.

Anyone seen Lee Ndlovu play? Big strong goalscoring centre forward at BorehamWood FC
Looked good in the live cup games I've watched.

Heard a few people talking about Alfie May at Cheltenham as an option. Not a young player but a late developer it seems. Probably on a few club’s radar. That’ll be him scoring against us for Ipswich next season then.

Ogbene is a good shout. I've seen him play for ROI a few times now and a real handful. Free agent as far as I know. Would imagine he will go to team with some money to spend on wages.

Macaulay Langstaff at Notts County.

Tho I appreciate that with 42 goals in 45 games, he'll be on every club's radar.

he certainly is a player we should have been looking at or even picking up. Our problem will be that I can't see us getting anyone in who isn't out of contract or on a free.

Never knowingly right.

There will be a lot of Champ clubs after him and because of the necessary cuts we have to live with this summer, they will all be a better attraction than QPR and will pay more. Unless he is a fan and doesn't care about money, forget him.

Can we go out yet?

I think we had a look at this lad last summer, didn't we? From the little I know of him, he seems like a fair bet.

Ryan Nyambe is out of contract at Wigan Shayne Lavery strikes me as a GA type of striker Dabo is out of contract at Coventry a player who has pace something we desperately need in the team. Callum Patterson is another GA type of player who is available a lot of who we get in will be dependent on who goes and whether we get anything for them

Quite like the look of young Scottish lad Kieron Bowie who is on loan from Fulham at Northampton Town. He has something about him, played regularly for the Cobblers scored 5 goals, could make the step up and unlikely to feature for Fulham while they are in the Prem.

He’s got 2 years left on his contract but if County fail to get promoted maybe they might cash in. They only paid £50k for him.
Though not sure the club could justify selling him on so soon.
Very good player though.

Excellent crisps - "What does the dog eat?" - marvellous...

BAWHoops's answer looks the most plausible to me.

Other than that I'd like to see us be creative in exploiting any new post-Brexit loopholes, and also buy in bulk.

Don't really care where from but 3 or 4 at a time - house them in campervans at the training ground. Get Paladini back to sort out the paperwork.

One of the clickbait sites suggested Ashley Barnes (33), Daniel Ayala (32) and Danny Ward (31). + Ogbene. All 4 are out of contract. First 3, I wouldn't touch with a bargepole.

Maybe some PL cast offs or some foreign player nobody's heard of.
Whatever we get needs to add some real pace.

Pace is the key, out of the whole 1st team squad only Sinclair has it.
In my opinion the speed of our defence was a contributing factor to the goals against column, we are too slow.
