Manchester City very impressive last night.

The best team in my memory having not won a trophy yet this season but looking like they have a Treble opportunity.

Better than the Manchester United Treble winning side in 1999?

I am hoping McNulty was watching the attacking free flowing football and uses this as his template come August

Did they pass it around at the back though?

No passing around at the back, ball moved to halfway line asap. Pressed Madrid back all the first half. None of this pissing about dumb football we've had to endure.

As much as i admired Man Utds 1999 treble winners i think the present City side are better.

Imagine asking the likes of the Nevilles and Irwin to pass the ball around at the back..or Stam to move into a midfield role as Stones does?

The Utd team had more midfield enforcers such as Keane and Scholes whilst upfront the Cole Yorke partnership with Giggs and Beckham out wide was a joy to watch.

Very rarely see a front 2 working together in the modern game.

Cant see City not winning the treble.

If Arsenal hadn't had done as well as they have the title would have been wrapped up 8 games ago.
