There's a article on the VNL website about how the fixtures are decided. It involves quite a bit of input from the clubs which is good. Worth a read.

It wasn't really a theory, though; it was people making things up or believing what they read on Twitter. Anyway, back then I had a go at predicting the Boxing Day/New Year games. These are the guesses I posted and the ones that have come off. AFC Fylde v Rochdale - CORRECT Altrincham v FC Halifax Town - CORRECT Boreham Wood v Solihull Moors - WRONG Bromley v Ebbsfleet United - CORRECT Chesterfield v Kidderminster Harriers - WRONG Dorking Wanderers v Aldershot - WRONG Eastleigh v Oxford City - WRONG Gateshead v York City - CORRECT Oldham Athletic v Hartlepool United - CORRECT Southend United v Dagenham & Redbridge - WRONG Wealdstone v Barnet - WRONG Woking v Maidenhead United - WRONG 5 out of 12 ain't bad, as Meat Loaf sang.

Yes, but that's because the season is finishing a fortnight earlier than the EFL in order to get the play-offs in. We also only have two games in Christmas/New Year week, as opposed to three last season. (The EFL also has three this season). Wembley is being used for the Champions League Final, so a lot of the other finals that are being held there have been brought forward.

I haven't seen the option anywhere, it used to be set up by the EFL I think and seemingly the NL doesn't offer it

Not sure how many tickets will be available for away fans as it looks a tiny stadium. Also notice they are currently laying a new 3G surface so that’ll be another factor to add into the mix. Wouldn’t be surprised if one of our first two get picked for BT Sport. Feel that we really need to have a good start this season. Lose the first couple and doom and gloom will quickly set in.

I think the Oxford game is fairly certain for TV coverage, although BT Sport will be called something else next season - TNT Sports! If they stick to the timings they've used before, the game would be Saturday teatime.

Fixtures List Released Tomorrow on 17:27 - Jul 6 with 3341 views | jonahwhereru | The last game of the season I said there were positives. I had heard the Shay and the local drinking holes were great. So Halifax away was pencilled in for a trip up from Essex, but 23rd of December is a bugger. The journey home on Christmas Eve will be a right pain. First Spotland visit will be for Southend, if they are still in the league and can get a team out. UTD

That would do me tea time on the second Saturday of the season.
