Might as well play Bennie, Lloyd and Kolli as at least they will try.
Hopefully Morrison is fit enough to start.

"Remember to listen to me but look at her. Don't get it the wrong way round. That would be hideous."

I suppose positive is that Frey , Paal and Fox should be back for Stoke game .

Hopefully Ashby is fit for Saturday.

He can't start Madsen after his non performance midweek

I'm sure this seasons flurry of injuries is absolutely nothing to do with the fact the medical expert from last season Ben Williams has a new role.

It might be nice to know if we're replacing him in some way - once the club acknowledges his situation - but that's probably another need to know basis thing for us lowly fans.

Just the 1300 travelling to Leeds on Saturday btw.

This Ben Williams position will not sustain. We’ve gone from the league’s best injury record to its worst.

one of the 7 people with performance in their job title on the team photo could step up

Completely agree though to be paying him a full time salary whilst he works part time in another country whilst doing another job is ridiculous

If we see Dembele or JCS this side of Christmas I'll be shocked
They should just tell us they are long term, this whole idea of an advantage by teams not knowing is laughable. They are not Rodri or Saka, opposition teams really are not going to adjust plans against us if they find out
They'd actually get more understanding from fans if we knew

Karamoko Dembele and Fox might've almost made the Burnley game.. seemed fine before.
Quoting the club there.

Then two keepers on the bench

Now out for weeks.

Schumfing schtinks at this club

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

If that even is the situation, which I doubt, but then conjecture is all we've got - that and our 'competitive advantage'

The JCS injury is arguably the most concerning given our records with and without him in the team.

If the Head of Performance phones it in (quite literally), why shouldn’t all the “Performance” staff? Why shouldn’t the players?

This is the sort of leadership stuff Nourry demonstrably is miles out of his depth on. Standards. Accountability. Clarity of message.

What an absolute clusterf*ck, compounded by the pathetically vague (non-)updates from Marti and our paranoiac publicity machine to us lowly fans about these injuries that go, in Dembele's case for example, to 'feeling something' in his leg pre-Burnley to, apparently, suffering serious bodily damage. T|hey seriously must think we're a bunch of utter retards.

I suspect that's Chair pretty much done for the season, and we might well be too.

Meanwhile, spreading even more happiness as I go, I feel exactly the same as another poster, who recently distinguished between 'following' the club and attending games. I administer my support from across the Irish Sea these days, but even if I were living on the White City estate right now, I'm not sure I would pay to see them live. The club doesn't deserve me or its demented/admirable/pitiable loyalists. That's the first time I've felt that way in nearly 50 years as a supporter. For some reason, even under Briatore and Ecclestone, I didn't feel this hacked off.

Guess the 'feel-bad' factor is really setting in.

Quite. If I recall correctly Dembele and Fox were so certain to play on the Friday we didn’t bother bringing reserves on the coach up, and had to name the lad on bibs and balls on the bench.

Now Dembele has had knee surgery (allegedly) and is out for a while.

Either our Physios are grossly incompetent, or there was an issue/disagreement about that bench against Burnley. Stuff is going on behind the scenes and I’m pretty sure Cifuentes and Nourry don’t see eye to eye. Note Cifuentes’ comment the other day too about the club having a game model and his job being to get the best out of the players we have…which is pretty unsubtle if you ask me.

Yes, I noted that (twice) on separate threads. Perhaps Marti mainly cares about his contract/spondoolies and is cynical enough to adapt to whatever working environment he finds himself in at our stupid little club.

Anyone got a more plausible counter-thesis right now?

2 out of 3 are bad, dembele done nothing since his contract, chair lost a yard of pace since returning, can we have some big fcuk off players who kick the oppo?

Chairs a brave lad but falling back and sticking a straight leg out like that, I’m relieved it wasn’t a career ending injury.

This has got all the makings of the Langley/Carlisle season.

It's certainly got similar vibes

Especially the amount of draws we've had so far

Another patchwork team against leeds, with certain players well on their way to becoming hate figures selected by default. Easy to see things getting pretty toxic.

You have to feel sorry for Morgan, a player with some promise but who is again going to be starting games by default in extremely challenging circumstances. Not ideal for his development at all.

Slightly good news is that Paal is unavailable.

That is REALLY good news irrespective of who is there to replace him...

What's the consensus for this weekend? Lids declaring at 2, or is this going to be the absolute shellacking that is coming?

Can we go out yet?

I think I said it elsewhere, but Chair shouldn't have come back on. Clearly in proper pain for a good minute before hobbling off. I thought we were still waiting for the sub when I saw him back out there.

Last few mins of the half he was hobbling towards the touchline but kept getting passed the ball. Shows Marti's level of desperation I think, but still shouldn't have happened.
