Tickets 12:56 - Dec 28 with 6473 views | EllDale | Talk about milking it…….Tamworth are charging £38 for a terrace ticket and £42 to sit down when they entertain Tottenham. Unless I’ve got it wrong I’ve also just noticed that the Sandy is closed for next Saturday’s game against Stockton. Which part of the ground are people buying tickets for? Might be tempted to try the Main Stand personally. [Post edited 28 Dec 2024 12:59]

Tickets on 13:02 - Dec 28 with 3171 views | Dalenet | We are playing Stockton Town next Saturday. I have noticed that they have sold half their allocation already. It is a big game for them and I was surprised they have been put in the Pearl Street. I suspect they will sell out and need to be moved. [Post edited 28 Dec 2024 13:06]

Tickets on 13:38 - Dec 28 with 3062 views | 442Dale | https://rochdaleafc.co.uk/fa-trophy-tickets-on-sale/ Whilst not expecting the biggest crowd, why isn’t the Sandy open? It was for the Gateshead tie last season and that was a round earlier. We all know the younger fans are turning up in good numbers in the Sandy, even trying to manage them wanting to sit together creates an unnecessary issue and may also put off some fans attending.

Tickets on 14:32 - Dec 28 with 2964 views | isitme | Bit of a strange one. Block W on the Pearl Street has been closed to home supporters as well. A good win on Wednesday and we may have had a a decent crowd for the Stockton game, especially with the lower prices. Restricting home support to one and a half stands with no standing option does not seem a good idea, especially when the club are trying to grow crowds.

It’s baffling. We had 1700 for the Tuesday night home game before Christmas against Tamworth, surely we are looking to get at least that many home fans for a competition we should be looking to go far in? Presumably the Trust’s representative on the club board would have been consulted ahead of a decision being made that impacts supporters?

Tickets on 15:21 - Dec 28 with 2837 views | EllDale | Were season ticket holders given the option of purchasing their usual seats before tickets went on general sale? There could be a few noses out joint if people turn up at ten to three to find the drummer and his mates already in their usual seats. I have to say that the pricing is eminently sensible and could attract a lot of people desperate for a Saturday afternoon 3.00pm kickoff.

6 of us who stand together in the Sandy and none of us will be attending simply due to the Sandy being closed....No standing, no attendance...

No. The block I sit in has been given over to away supporters. There has been very little made of this game. I only saw that tickets had gone on sale by looking, on the off chance on the online ticketing system. It is as if they do not want people to attend the game. [Post edited 28 Dec 2024 15:34]

Is yours in one of the blocks that has previously been earmarked for away supporters on certain games? Either way, surely this has been communicated to those season ticket holders?! Edit: on your last point, it’s a game some fans are actually looking forward to attending as it’s a real chance to progress in a competition we might actually win! Having that impacted by unnecessary mistakes in the decision making process is indicative of inconsistencies in thought given towards supporters. [Post edited 28 Dec 2024 15:55]

No it has never been used for away supporters and it has not been communicated. I only found out when I tried to book tickets. Off to the main stand where I have probably booted someone out of their usual seat. We have been starved of meaningful home games recently and I am sure lots of supporters will want to attend. It is a winnable game in a competition that offers a trip to Wembley.

Well, at least we can rest assured the Trust will be reading and on the case…

it'd be useful to know who's taking these decisions, and whether it's one individual or as a result of a discussion which the Trust were party to

Tickets on 16:48 - Dec 28 with 2534 views | EllDale | Several of the younger end have mentioned recently that they would like to move from the Sandy next season and use the end block of the Pearl Street stand nearest to Willbutts Lane as a designated singing area. If this were to happen it begs the question as to where away supporters would be housed if the current policy of mothballing the Willbutts Stand were to continue? I hope no-one has the bright idea of turning the Sandy into the away end although it would have several matchday advantages from the club’s point of view. It would re-open a historic controversy though.

Good point Alien who is actually taking/making these decisions, again, this reeks of the us v's them attitude from the Club, the players and staff often mention the brilliant Sandy atmosphere and how this helps squad performances, or very similar therefore, tell you what we'll close the Sandy, the atmosphere never actually made any difference, so what if the Sandy regulars don't attend ! what's so difficult in the Club informing supporters the reason/s that the sandy will be closed, most supporters would/will readily accept valid reason/s, as it stands we are already learning that supporters won't be attending the Stockton match who otherwise would have !

What happens if the Stockton Town game goes to penalties? Our lot would certainly choose to shoot out in the Sandy......Ben Muirhead's winner against Darlo is still vivid in anyone's memory who was in there(I know it's not quite the same !) But the atmosphere in the Sandy is compulsive to those of us who frequent the "Bus shelter" as bury used to call it. Foolish to loose potential business by closing it.
Tickets on 17:29 - Dec 28 with 2378 views | dawlishdale | Its another baffling decision by someone at the club. We deserve to know the thinking behind it. Surely the trust representative must know how unpopular this will be. Weve Just had a really good away winning performance, and then this announcement. Its like snakes and ladders supporting Dale. I can only conclude that the person coming up with these ideas just doesn't get it.

One would imagine, should this scenario arise, that 'our lot' would choose the end where the Dale fans were sited, rather than an empty terrace!

That's why there needs to be accountability After the post-Bottomley efforts to keep the flame alive by those without substantial resources but who nevertheless put their cash and effort into the Dale cause, we shouldn't be having to make these points again That's the whole point of having a Trust rep on the board, and it barely needs repeating - it's not working, and that's despite getting answers to questions in retrospect. There needs to be proactive input, but for that to happen, we need Trust input that's proactive [Post edited 28 Dec 2024 17:44]

To be fair they announced the cup ticket details before Christmas, before the good away win. And we haven't even sold 100 tickets in the home ends as yet. I suspect somebody has made the decision that the game won't be popular. Until the club has somebody senior that has responsibility for fan engagement they will keep making the same mistakes.

I'm not stalking you Alien, you are making some good points upon this subject therefore, I shall add to your Trust Rep statement, purely my personal thoughts mind - Should one be invited to the top table from say a mid placed or far away table then one is most likely expected to act and behave the same or similar way as the top table have continued to act and behave ! I was once with you being treated badly and not being told anything , now I'm with them treating you badly.............. As I've stated, just a thought !

Point taken about the amount of tickets sold. Making it a self fulfilling prophecy isn’t worthy of any praise though. How does such decision making fit within the “project 5000” plan?
