Talk about milking it…….Tamworth are charging £38 for a terrace ticket and £42 to sit down when they entertain Tottenham.

Whilst not expecting the biggest crowd, why isn’t the Sandy open? It was for the Gateshead tie last season and that was a round earlier.
We all know the younger fans are turning up in good numbers in the Sandy, even trying to manage them wanting to sit together creates an unnecessary issue and may also put off some fans attending. |  |

It’s baffling. We had 1700 for the Tuesday night home game before Christmas against Tamworth, surely we are looking to get at least that many home fans for a competition we should be looking to go far in?

Were season ticket holders given the option of purchasing their usual seats before tickets went on general sale? There could be a few noses out joint if people turn up at ten to three to find the drummer and his mates already in their usual seats.

Edit: on your last point, it’s a game some fans are actually looking forward to attending as it’s a real chance to progress in a competition we might actually win! Several of the younger end have mentioned recently that they would like to move from the Sandy next season and use the end block of the Pearl Street stand nearest to Willbutts Lane as a designated singing area.
If this were to happen it begs the question as to where away supporters would be housed if the current policy of mothballing the Willbutts Stand were to continue? I hope no-one has the bright idea of turning the Sandy into the away end although it would have several matchday advantages from the club’s point of view. It would re-open a historic controversy though. | | | |

Good point Alien who is actually taking/making these decisions, again, this reeks of the us v's them attitude from the Club, the players and staff often mention the brilliant Sandy atmosphere and how this helps squad performances, or very similar therefore, tell you what we'll close the Sandy, the atmosphere never actually made any difference, so what if the Sandy regulars don't attend ! what's so difficult in the Club informing supporters the reason/s that the sandy will be closed, most supporters would/will readily accept valid reason/s, as it stands we are already learning that supporters won't be attending the Stockton match who otherwise would have ! |  | | |

That's why there needs to be accountability
After the post-Bottomley efforts to keep the flame alive by those without substantial resources but who nevertheless put their cash and effort into the Dale cause, we shouldn't be having to make these points again
That's the whole point of having a Trust rep on the board, and it barely needs repeating - it's not working, and that's despite getting answers to questions in retrospect. There needs to be proactive input, but for that to happen, we need Trust input that's proactive [Post edited 28 Dec 2024 17:44]

To be fair they announced the cup ticket details before Christmas, before the good away win. And we haven't even sold 100 tickets in the home ends as yet. I suspect somebody has made the decision that the game won't be popular.

I'm not stalking you Alien, you are making some good points upon this subject therefore, I shall add to your Trust Rep statement, purely my personal thoughts mind - Should one be invited to the top table from say a mid placed or far away table then one is most likely expected to act and behave the same or similar way as the top table have continued to act and behave !
