So we are judging the new guy after his first 2 games against 2 terrible sides. Southgate’s first 2 results were 2-0 win over Malta and 0-0 with Slovenia. Or when he got the job permanently 2-2 with Scotland and 2-0 vs Lithuania. Personally I’ll judge Tuchel after the performance at World Cup.

Well he’s had over a week to get the players to understand what he wants and implement it.

And when Shaw was injured he played a right back there. Why? Because England has no other left backs in the country?

At the time Mitchell was probably the only other viable option so he went with Trippier who did OK
