QPR's Luckiest Referee...? 16:31 - May 15 with 749 viewsW7Ranger

When I say "lucky", I don't mean we got favourable/fortunate decisions. Just a ref who was a good omen, a lucky charm.

I can't see past Mark Clattenburg.

I think "good omen" is synonymous for "good ref" for me - you see the appointment a couple of days before and think "well he's a good ref, at least there'll be no fùckries from that direction" rather than think "oh God not that fùcking clown"

Clattenburg definitely in that boat along with Howard Webb for me and strangely John Moss. Never had a problem with him although he could torch other games.

I think we did quite well in the few matches Graham poll was allowed to ref us.

Back in the 70's Roger Kirkpatrick in charge seemed to guarentee a win!

3 of our biggest games we've had Clattenburg in charge.

Oldham play off 2nd leg.

Sheff Wed promotion.

Wigan play off 2nd leg.

2 other big games that spring to mind where we had a player sent off but the overall result still went our way that wasn't reffed by Clattenburg was the Aguero game and the 2014 play off final.

Jack Supple probably knows the answer to this!
