There is no sign of an experienced manager being appointed. I really hope he isnt going to.appoint Tonda. Solake was in the stands against Sheff Wed and QPR. 2 wins. Appointing Tonda because he got 2 wins is such a Solak.thing to do..

100% with you Southamptonfan.

You and I called it correctly with Still and now there is a strong suggestion that Sports Republic may go down the same route again. It’s almost as though they don’t care who the manager is as long as they can run their Player Trading and Fun Fair Business, which of course is their prerogative.

The poll asking who wants him as the next manager shows less than 25 % in favour but it probably counts for nothing as far as Sports Republic are concerned.

Bookies have Tonda at 4/7 and let’s face it they don’t usually get it wrong.

I have a feeling they might give it to him until the end of the season, knowing they can get rid next summer if need be and hope by some miracle he wins games, and gets us up on the cheap. It would be another mistake, probably leaving us looking for a new manager in the summer.

Could be wrong, but I am not sure why Solak would have been at the last two games, if it wasn't to sound out Eckert for the job and no communication from the club about a search for new manager as such.

Who do you think it’s going to be Nick?

I’m not sure if he’d need to be here if they’re just going to promote Eckert.

You could be right if he was going to promote Eckert he would not need to come over.

I Haven't a clue who it is going to be

They would be mad to give him a permanent appointment after two games.

They would also be mad to ditch him after two straight wins.

He's nowhere near qualified for the job. He's never been a manager for a start. There is more to it than picking the team and the tactics.
Even on that score he's been in charge for 2 games against frankly dreadful opposition and we haven't looked convincing in either game.
We need someone with at least some experience of the job he's applied for.
I would say there is no chance of Martin, Ralph or Eckert getting the job thankfully.

No they wouldn’t, 2 wins against shit opposition and the first one extremely fortunate. Send him back to the youth team

You also have to consider would they want to lose their U 21s coach to another Championship Club, with Swansea, Boro, Norwich and potentially others all looking for a young manager rather than a has been manager they may well feel Tonda deserves to be given a chance to really show what he can do. Interesting times ahead for our Club and us Saints fans I feel.

A man manager is needed.
If the players down tools like they did with Still then it’s back to square one.
Age is immaterial. If the players don’t like you then you’re fücked.
Still may have all the jargon, all the coaching books but if you’re a millionaire footballer are you seriously going to listen to him?
