I can see your point, but lets be fair, we are now short on tossers who due to their profiles are laws unto themselves. The squad has few prima donas in it now, compared to 2 -3 years ago

I agree with his, and for a few others reasons I also do not see this ending the way we would all want, with a top six finish. Shame, as clearly TE has some good skills and is one for the future, but this gig is too soon for him.

I really don’t understand why they don’t just keep him as interim - he’s hardly sought after; he was our under 21 coach.

True, but I’m still talking about half the team. They never wanted Martin to go as they were on easy street. The way they played on Saturday was as if he was still in charge. Best thing Eckert could do is put them in their box. He has to be strong and I hope he is.

All very well saying that TE isn't the right person for the job. I agree that he has an awful lot to prove but what are the alternatives. I personally can't think of anyone that's any good that is available that would be any better than TE. Carrick = No Gerrard = No O'Neil = No Martin = No

Spend big and get Brendan Rodgers in. They won’t so I don’t know why I said it. TONDA is the next manager.

I think Rodgers is from the "It's not my team" school which was created by Redknapp. Strikes me as a toxic character whose judgment has got worse with time given some of the bizarre signings he made towards the end of his time at Leicester.

Will Still was hammered by many as having no real experience and being a product of Football Manager. Despite having a good managerial record in France. Yet we win 4 games against uninspiring opposition and suddenly our U21 is the saviour and must get the job. He has no experience of running a club beyond picking a team players he's given. In any event we aren't looking for a genius. Just someone who can get a consistent tune out of a squad that is more than good enough to be top 4. The real test would be if we go up again. Can a manager keep us up when we don't have financial advantage. But for me no. TE doesn't get the job now.

Don’t want Brenda anywhere near us Over inflated opinion of himself and a smarmy coont I would take Gerrard as I think he has a point to prove a la Lampard but I am sure we will get Tonda

Picking up on your point " that TE has no experience of running a club beyond picking the team". The team Manager/ Coach does not run the club so doesn't need that experience. His role is get the players he's given fit, coach them & pick the match day team then win football matches. It's early days for TE but so far he has passed those tests, thats why I think the job is his if he wants it. The problem he may have is dealing with players with big ego's & larger salaries than he has. [Post edited 5 Dec 18:10]

In the unlikely event any of them have interest in us, it will on the basis of "big names need big bucks " and they will come with more than a hint of " doing us a favour". Versus those guys I would take a young hungry German any day. Top work ethic, ambitious, driven and fully aware we are doing HIM a favour which he will want to repay. Maybe aa idealistic view but it's all I got.
