A quick scan of todays goal scorers suggest that many teams did n't rest some of their 1st teamers.....Halifax, Southend,Alty and Scunny....and as mentioned York..
Luckily we had super Levi.
The next round is January 10th, so our bowling green at the COA will still not be ready should we get a home tie. Stand by the Wham again?

Or we give up home for an away tie

Accrington play Barnet at home Saturday 10th Jan so we either play away if we are drawn at home or see if we can play the game Sunday 11th?
Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10
Was just reading that Gateshead had a total attendance yesterday for the cup game against Morecambe of 363 - of which 103 were from Morecambe. So a home gate of just 250. We think we have a challenge on attendances

How does that compare with their attendances in the NL?
How many might have turned up at COA if we'd hosted the Leamington fixture?
Not asking you specifically, just musing on the nature of the fixture, which no doubt Gateshead fans did, just a couple of weeks before the expense of Christmas

They currently average 923 at home, so Saturday's crowd was 39% of that.
We currently average 2592 and 39% of that is around 1019. I would have predicted about 1500 at Spotland (with reduced prices of course), as our fanbase is generally more committed and willing to support the lesser cups, while we are also a more stable club and fanbase than Gateshead's these days.
There are plenty of other extenuating circumstances at The Heed, of course. Their crowds are generally low whatever the competition, they play in an awful ground where fans are such a long distance from the pitch, their home form and form in general has been dreadful and they are currently on a real downer. Even when they were doing well and reaching the play-offs and Wembley finals, they still struggled to attract support.
You mean you STILL haven't worked out why some posts get down-ticked?

Don't disagree with any of that and of course they had much better gates against Hartlepool and Southend that has boosted their average. They have been hovering around 600-700 over recent months with the decline in form. But 250 hardcore is still a surprise. Not sure how they will survive to be honest.
