Be interesting. I'd assumed Morgan was going to win it for distance x context but you might be right.

I'm just a sucker for those sort of goals , really mugs of the defence and goalkeeper.

If you are going for raw emotion, then it’s Morgan, but Kone’s goal is vastly superior in terms of quality. Not just because of the quality of the flick, but the team build up to it. Mind you, I think Kone’s belter at Wrexham and Vale’s at home to Stoke are in the mix too.

There was some bloke in a Prem side that scored with a “scorpion kick”
Bet it wasn't as good as Kone's

To be fair Solankes goal was a cracker as well but there is only a couple of views of Kones that show how good it was.
I had a brilliant view of what he had done from R Block but it wasn't untill Monday that I saw a video that caught it properly.

A real instinctive finish. No wonder that was his one word for it!!

Also in R block with an excellent view. I thought he'd flicked it but couldn't really figure out how. Ridiculous goal.

Yes, you can't really appreciate it unless you see it in slow motion from the right angle. On the extended highlights, about 7 minutes in, you can see it in slow motion from a good angle (from the end of Ellerslie).

From behind I couldn’t work out how he’d got it in and even the Sky highlights were a bit indistinct, but everything about it, particularly the elevation off his heel over the keeper’s hand, was unimprovable. Still love Vale’s rip-the-net-off comic-strip blooter against Wrexham though.

It really is very unusual. Normally when players score with those inside flicks they have one foot on the ground, but Kone has both feet off the ground.

Kone has got it. He’s had a dramatic rise from Newham division 11 or wherever. This lad is a natural born goalscorer. Mystifies me that posters (W*nkers Elbow, Upper Loft W*nker, Arsey W*nker etc.) slag him off. I read people’s comments on here and it’s obvious who’s never played the game. Snobbery of sorts perhaps but I’m sick of reading ignorant b*llsh*t. Viva King Kone!

Also, before that, one touch from Vale to Madesen to Kone to back of the net.

One-touch football, so for me, that's the goal of the season so far.

zzzzzzzzzz

Surely some mistake? League 1 at best blah blah

At home we've got it nailed. Maximum output from minimal possession. All speed and skill. Away we're a different team. Based on recent performances it's ten behind the ball and wear the oppo down. 0-0 draws are the order of the day. It's nail-biting stuff but, lately at least, effective.

Yeah hasn't noticed until the video in Fearless's post. Exceptional stuff.

A great finish, yet a bit odd the video creator seems more interested in Kones backside.

Technology advances, unfortunately humans do not.

Wow, what a goal, when you see it at that angle. It's the movement too. Forget the finish, your Dykes and Celars aren't even making that run.

Fantastic finish. At full speed it can look like a miskick or even an own goal, but the slowmo really captures it.

It's a great finish. Couldn't really tell from the Upper Loft how he had scored until the highlights.

The goal of the season for me so far. Great finish and lovely buildup play, too, how QPR can and should play.

Vale against Wrexham was special as well.

Beautiful goal sublime skill.

Also what about Kieran Morgan’s goal away at Watford, that was a broadside 18 pounder, a real thunder b’stard

captains fantastic
