Stormed out of Villa park this evening after finding out he wasn't in the squad for their game tonight. Worth a punt in Jan? Seems like he would be available and we are very short on frontmen at the moment.

if we want an out and out goalscorer we won't get a better one than Bent imo, a bit like Cisse though when the goals dry up he offers nothing to the team

That's the problem for me (apart from his application and pricetag) - he's just another Djib surely. Stays upfront and will just finish the chances provided him, without creating anything himself (although Cissé tries to cover this by shooting from every conceivable angle at a range of up to 40 yards)
Bent'd be a step up but not sure he's the solution

QPR - "shit but local"

Danny Graham's a better shout if they'd part with him, which I'd guess they wouldn't

Bent would be too expensive and isn't the kind of player the team needs at this moment. We need a physical presence up front who's a threat in the air and can hold the ball up.

Zamora's injury seemed to pass a lot of us by in the depression and anger of that Southampton result, but he's a definite miss at this moment

I think Harry will make serious enquiries about Crouch

Bent - deadly Darren in the box, the 6 yard box
Danny Graham - Championship standard
Crouchy - welcome home son!

We need a number 9 our team and midfield cannot function without one, in fact I'd buy 2. Bloody stupid letting Helgusson go and the worst decision the club made in hindsight was not spunking all the transfer money on Crouch in August 2011

Thought so. Wouldn't be surprised at all.

Liverpool, who have 1 striker in Suarez, also interested. Where would you go?

Very true. Only one option from those two.

QPR all the way.
