Just been on Google and decided to look up results and scores from our first season in the Football League ,the start of Third Division North and South. As we know, not a good start for Dale finishing rock bottom and having to be re-elected, a scenario that was to become almost a regular event in the following years. I went on to Third Division South and was somewhat surprised to see that they used goal difference instead of goal average which all the other leagues used. Does anybody know why that was, as the next season, and for many years after, goal average was used. Has somebody deliberately changed the records? |  |
