Looking on Twitter there are lots of snippets… back at training.. in the gym… interviews etc…

I recall in previous threads the cost of using that facility…

My question is how is that outlay justifiable when we are now non league…

There are gyms in Heywood / Rochdale leisure centres etc.. we have a football pitch in the ground not used…

Should the cost be spent more wisely??

The local leisure centres definitely aren't up to the standard required for a professional football club. You can see the quality of the grass pitches from some of the gallery photos, the likes of which simply don't exist in the Rochdale borough. Plus there will be exclusive access to the gym/changing facilities which local leisure centres wouldn't be able to provide without excluding existing members.

Tangled up in blue.

Securing and utilising the Platt Lane facility is perhaps the best example of the club using money wisely.

We’ve always relied on developing players, having a fit for purpose facility to do that is key to us as a club.

Plus I suspect the young players we attract want to live in Manchester centre rather than Rochdale. Platt Lane probably suits many of them.
