BBC 5Live correspondent just referred to good work by Dickson Etuhu. Is it too much to ask that the major broadcasters do any sort of research on non-Prem teams before a match?

Arf, yes, COG not on the bench. Back in my box! Tevez 1-0. 3/1 first goalscorer, free money.

Barnsley vs. Citeh on 15:26 - Mar 10 with 2423 views | 442Dale | David Flitcroft as a manager, some facts: P 14, W 8, D 2, L 4 (including one against the current champions of England, the useless get) Has lost Stones and Golborne; one transferred, one injured, both crucial to the formation using 3 central defenders that worked so well for them. Now having to adapt using limited resources. Despite this, he's still given Barnsley a fighting chance of retaining their Championship status. The pillock.

Barnsley vs. Citeh on 18:51 - Mar 10 with 2297 views | D_Dale | Interesting clash for the Tykes on Tuesday when Brighton visit. While at Dale, Flicker must have worked closely with Craig Dawson, who scored Bolton's winner, so might another protege, Will Buckley, affect the result on Tuesday!

Hmmm. I dunno, I wouldn't be as quick to jump the gun as Whitey is there. After all, I saw Flicker and the players go and clap the fans after the game...

Barnsley have only lost two matches this year so why are they still bottom? Haven't been watching their league position so it came as a bit of a surprise when I looked today. Thought Flicker had been doing well but it looks like they are still set to drop.

For a start, they have had three FA Cup ties when everyone else has been playing league fixtures, so they have some games in hand.

The other sides around them have done ok too, Bristol City picked up after O'Driscoll arrived and Sheff Wed have done quite well. It's all very close down there now. Of course, employing pillocks won't help.

I agree, a vital win coming so soon after the trouncing at the Etihad. It wouldn't have been unexpected to put in a deflated performance after that experience, and for Flickers to get them up and performing against a high-riding team just 3 days later was some feat. Puts them in with a real chance of avoiding the drop. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Barnsley vs. Citeh on 00:35 - Mar 18 with 1842 views | WhiteyBFC | Nice to see Bobby Hassell get the winner yesterday. Scott Wiseman has improved markedly of late, and O'Grady has been immense. I've already apologised for my comment on our own forum, the one calling Flitcroft a pillock. It was typed out in anger/disappointment, directly after getting out of Manchester, and under the influence of alcohol. No excuse, but we're all a bit silly on occasion. I had just hoped that certain players would be picked, Mellis in particular, and it riled me to see the kid Tunnicliffe start ahead of him, and Hassell, O'Brien etc, who had all played a key part in us getting to the QF of the cup. Here is my blog post from last midweek, where I make my feelings about Flitcroft clear, and admit that I'm often very reactionary... http://tarnreview.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/we-can-do-this-together.html As you can see, I'm trying to put aside petty differences, and remain positive. At the end of the day, Flitcroft's record speaks for itself, so must his team selections. Only a real pillock would argue with that..... :-) Enough about me/us. I'm glad you're still interested in us, but I have to admit I've not noticed how you've gone on of late, except seeing the results. Big win last week, and a tight defeat yesterday? That about right? How are things right now? Is Keith having a positive impact/influence, or have you wrote this season off and hoping he gets you going over the Summer? Yours truly, Whitey... AKA The Pillock.
