Refwatch: Scunthorpe v Dale on 17:45 - Aug 13 with 628 views
Worth a mention about the performance of the ref yesterday. For me he had a really good game and controlled it with a minimum of fuss and without wanting to be the centre of attention like some (most?) of the goons we have to put up with. A couple of fouls early on might have warranted a yellow card but it was refreshing to see a ref use common sense, not giving out cards cheaply and making a rod for his own back later in the game! He didn't fall for Bishop's whinging/diving antics and allowed the game to flow as much as possible. Don't know the stats but a game with no yellow cards these days feels extremely rare? The fact that nobody has mentioned him in the match thread suggests, by default, that most people must have thought he handled the game well!?
