The profit margin on a pie will be around 0.75-1.25 GBP taking into account cost of ingredients, labor, electricity, transportation etc. doesn’t seem a lot when everything is taken into account. |  | | |

A pie should never cost £6 regardless of 'margins' its an absolute piss take, theres not a chance they cost £5 to make individually 👍
As a bit of a comparison I recently bought 2 catering sized from from Burnden Pies its been there for decades loads of filling and they cost £25 each and served 12 decent portions 14 at a push [Post edited 31 Jan 21:33]

I guess its a Scratch Catering decision given we outsourced catering a few seasons ago. I seem to recall that the previous supplier was in Milnrow.
Don't Morecambe FC make their own. The club chef bakes them on the day before a match day so they can control the quality and optimise for value. If Scratch need a bigger margin they could make them. | | | |

Im surprised the minutes from the last CAB meeting have not been posted on the club website, but catering was discussed for next season:
Catering. Egg Soldiers is a food & drink consultancy that has been invited in to work with the club with
regards the food & drink offering. A number of recommendations have been made and a follow up
meeting is to be held on Friday 23
rd January. Discussions have been held with our current catering
partner – Scratch Catering – with a view to some form of joint venture going forward. The plans
discussed so far will involve significant investment in food & drink outlets and support facilities, as it is
recognised that the infrastructure is currently poor, and not just for matchday experience but for
revenue generation outside of matchdays. A wider consultation of the fanbase is planned to discuss
the food offering, such as a Hero pie in recognition of our history in award winning pies. A significant
sum is spent annually in providing food for players, and this supply forms part of this consultancy.
