Does anyone else find having to click 'enter' to view the new official site really annoying? You've got your high speed internet access that can normally display a site in less than a second, then with Dale's OS, you are sat there waiting for the pop up to appear so that you can click it to remove it before you can read anything on the site. It's just unnecessary and annoying and is like going back to the days of dial up.

Rant over!

It's worse via a mobile with pop ups and god knows what else

Ive stopped using the OS , this factor being the last straw.

Presumably someone will be able to measure the effect in terms of the numbers of vistors to the site.

But I suppose its back to the CBA factor - we are certainly at the top of the league in that.

The splash page has always been on the fishul site. It gives you the choice of going into the fishul site or DalePlayer. It only ever shows once per session too. Is it annoying and pointless - yes, but people need to stop moaning for moanings sake.

The layout of the website and the splash screen is not the club's fault. It is the fault of the alleged web design company who runs all of the football league club's sites.

If we don't complain, how will the people who operate the web site know that people don't like it? No point in emailing the club as apart from Colin Garlick, nobody there ever replies to emails, and I doubt they even read them. No point in posting it on the OS forum either as they don't moderate it.

This 'people need to stop moaning' attitude is closely related to the 'cant be arsed' attitude. Are you after a job in the marketing department, or possibly with BT!?

A great attitude to have towards your sources of revenue (customers) - all 2000 of them.

Long live 'little Rochdale'

And another thing .....

Apart from not liking white writing on a black background, there is a problem with copying and pasting! Highlighting and copying white writing, then pasting onto a white word document or onto a message, gives you ....NOTHING!! The answer, of course, is to re-highlight what you can't see (!!), then select a new colour, eg black. Life is fraught.

A black background helps save the environment (probably)
