A1 closed, M1 diversions and the M62 crawling at Ikea near Leeds.

And there wasn't even a 70s chippy like York.

Poll: Greatest Ever Dale Game

It doesn't take much common sense to keep the junction open and lane closures till 11 when there is a packed football programme. These Tuesday night away games are becoming a pain in the arse due to bloody road works. Especially as no one seems to be doing any work!

it seems every localish midweek away game takes twice as long to get back from these days.

With a bit of foresight and common sense it shouldn't have to be like that.

Get off at Junction 27 normaly got 1/2 mile from junction and see 1st sign junction closed, why not 20 mile down the road so people can get off at junction 28 ,thus reducing traffic in roadworks after junction 27. Sick of these roadworks had to deal with them for a couple of years now.

An awful journey home, with no warnings on the overhead signs on what was ahead.

Lanes dangerously disappeared in front of you on several occasions (including one between Milnrow and Rochdale).

A 1 hour journey took nearly two hours. (Too late for a Just Got Back as it's a school night!)

And we were lucky to avoid Ikea at Batley (still going despite being stiffed by bury!) as we diverted through Flockton, Midgeley and Huddersfield.

I'm certain that the Yorkshire road planners look for nights when the Lancs teams play in Yorkshire before planning their schedules. eg York last season. eg Burnley at York tonight. Typical Yorkshire behaviour!

Poll: Who do you think bury should appoint as their next manager?

Found this for future reference.

What's with the variable speed limits as well?

Poll: Should Bury shop elsewhere for frames?
