From the tone of how favourably Nourry has been speaking about Marti's legacy, plus the heartfelt eulogy of Marti's message to the fanbase, I think you can safely assume an agreement has been reached between the two never to air that particular piece of dirty laundry in public. |

Thanks for posting, TK. Pleasing to see him poking his head up above the parapet and resisting the tempation to box our new Head Coach into a corner with unrealistic expectations. |

Not just a bona fide QPR legend who laid the foundation for so much that came later without any desire for shamless self-promotion, but a true visionary in promoting youth development and a thoroughly decent gentleman who always gave time to startstruck young fans like myself. I hope the club does him proud in honouring his legacy - I'm sure it will. |

..And as for calling me a "hypocrite", thanks for giving me the biggest laugh out loud moment of my weekend so far! You have the audacity to throw that word at me, whilst at the same time extolling the supposed virtues of the Plymouth Brethren, who wilfully and arrogantly refuse to acknowledge their moral and legal responsibility of accepting a place on a jury. If everyone did that, we would have no objective legal framework, leading to anarchy followed fairly swiftly by tyranny as the government of the day panics and overreacts accordingly. Even funnier than that, the supposed reason why you are in thrall to the Brethren is because they allegedly don't pass judgement on others (which is in itself absolute bollox, but we'll let that be for the moment). You, however, have absolutely no issue whatsoever in passing judgement on anyone on this forum who dares to call you out. Not sure its me who's the actual hypocrite in this scenario, is it... |

Bazza's post has 11 likes - clearly basic maths is not your strongpoint. However, you're evidently very happy in your own little self-important bubble, and I shall continue to be happy in finding ways to burst it when the opportunity arises. |

Why are you assuming Bazza's "resentful"? I personally read it as a very amusing take on your unrelenting pomposity - a feature of yours of which you seem to be completely unaware (which makes you a prime and completely fair target for some very well constructed humour). I would suggest you take yourself slighly less seriously before you do yourself some permanent damage. Alternatively, you could continue as you are and let us all enjoy continuing to take the p*ss out of you (which, to be fair, is quite entertaining). |

Stevenage No.22 having a long chat and hug with Ilias Chair adds weight to the claim that it may indeed be Ossie Kakay. |

Celar looks sharp as well and determined to try and score another spectacular goal, it seems! |

I think that's a bit harsh on Richards, Clive. He always gave Dembele a passing option, and gave us some nice balance in the attacking third, plus looked to link play consistently. Didn't try to do anything too flash, but did the simple things well, and, crucially, didn't stop to tie his boots up in the middle of an opposition move... |

Poor Jack! Being of a similar shade of deathly pale, and having once famously caught heatstroke in Cornwall, I know exactly how he feels.. |
 | Forum Reply | Statement from the board at 12:49 4 Jul 2025
I would say "meaningless platitudes" is a bit harsh. I think it was a nice touch acknowledging Marti, even if they didn't go so far as to explain exactly what led to the garden leave situation. The phrase "not the end to his QPR career anyone wanted" begs more questions than answers, but many boards in this situation would have chosen to simply gloss over the issue completely. One question I do still have though: Does anyone know if Xavi Calm is still with us? He's been completely left out of any official statements (unless I just missed it). |

"Complex"??!! That word gives his behaviour a level of justification and credibility that it in no way deserves, as in "I'm so sorry, Your Honour, I tied so hard not to kick my wife in the head, but my foot developed a mind of its own which I just found it impossible to reason with. I'll definitely go to all the anger management courses that the British taxpayers have kindly paid for out of the goodness of their hearts, and I'm sure, in time I'll become a better man and tell everyone about the process I've gone through on as many social media platforms as I still have access to, and this will ensure that the next time I kick my wife in the head it definitely won't be quite so hard". Complex, eh? I can think of a shorter word that begins with the letter c which would be somewhat more accurate, I would suggest. |

Heartbreaking is an understatement I would say that many fans of my generation (I was 11 in '76) are still traumatised by it to this day, especially as one of their goals was blatantly offside, even by 70's standards.. A definite sliding doors moment for the club as a whole, that day.. |

That's a very good point, Dave. Even Richard Dobson was on a podcast a few weeks ago saying that Wild Thing and he were not told the full extent of the constraints they were going to be operating under and that they both felt they had been mis-sold the opportunity, and he's a lifelong R's fan as we know, who was made up to be offered the role. |
 | Forum Reply | New manager bottom of the barrel at 18:25 5 Jun 2025
That said, taking your analogy to its logical conclusion, you'd have to think that Marti is less than impressed with what he will see as Nourry's draconian overreaction to what goes on all the time in the general footballing world. If he wasn't actively looking for the exit before now but was just "assessing his options" I doubt this episode will have done very much for his desire to stay loyal to the club. |

He's the current St. Mirren manager. Well thought of up there and rumoured to be in the frame for a number of Championship jobs (as they all are at this time of the year, of course). |

Ollie had a big hand in this, having seen him play for the youth teams at Millwall when he was managing there. He'd heard that Ebs wasn't going to be offered professional terms and recommended him to Chris Ramsey knowing that we would absolutely love him. |
 | Forum Reply | Cup final tangential thoughts. at 16:21 16 May 2025
Whatever else we might want to criticise Nourry for, at least the support and structure for pro-active youth development and a uniform "QPR DNA" is already paying dividends. It just needs to be consistently and continually supported in this way going forwards. |
