I think they were spot on. Agree with most of what they say.

Kone is a good striker

The wide attackers arent doing enough

Julien needs to change the formation from time to time.

Call me old school but why haven't we peppered the penalty area with high balls today based on the fact that it's so windy?

Sorry but Dembele has been poor.

We've not used the wind this half to our advantage.

Really poor second half from us so far. We haven't woken up at all after the interval

Agree about Kone, doesn't look the same player as earlier in the season.

Dembele struggling too

Addressing a few points....

I am not suggesting we have downed tools. Actually, if you blood younger players, they have an awful lot to play for.

The philosophy is to develop and sell, in order to do that, the younger players need to be playing.

Unlikely to go up or down, for me not going down or being near a relegation scrap is a massive relief and progress.

The point of the thread was more along the lines of who would you give a chance rather than any negativity around the season.

My key 3 would be:

Walsh, as someone said on another post....not as much pressure on him and a perfect season for him to gain experience now.

Esquerdinha, with Larkeche out until next season he has the opportunity to shine or potentially see himself as 3rd choice (or sent out on loan) next season.

Kolli - has to take this opportunity.

Unlikely to go up or down....

Hopefully we will get a top half finished which will be massive progress.

Should we concentrate now on blooding younger players and giving them experience at playing at this level? Appreciate we are having to do that anyway at the moment due to injuries.

If so who would be the two or three players you would all pick that you would like to see given more time on the pitch.

January transfer rumours
at 08:31 18 Jan 2026

The report also went on to say that he has good pace but needs work on his hold up play and his passing.

Watching most of his goals they come from inside the box as a type of poacher, mainly on the ground, which is quite surprising seeing as he is so tall.

Seems to have been an impact sub at Lincoln.

Good reports though. One for the future.

Justin Obikwu is a physical and bustling young striker who currently plays for Coventry City, having recently been recalled from a loan spell at Lincoln City in January 2026.
Standing at 1.94m (approx. 6'4"), his playing style is characterized by his significant aerial presence and "poacher" instincts. Here is a breakdown of his player profile:
Playing Style & Strengths
* Goal Poacher: He is often described as a "bustling" forward who excels in the box. While he has historically had limited involvement in build-up play, he is highly effective at finishing chances.
* Physical Presence: His height makes him a natural target man and an indirect set-piece threat.
* Two-Footed: He is noted for being comfortable using both feet, which makes him unpredictable for defenders in the final third.
* Counter-Attack Threat: Despite his size, he is recognized as a threat on the counter-attack and is willing to dribble when the opportunity arises.
Areas for Development
* Build-up Play: Scouts have noted he can sometimes have limited involvement in the earlier phases of possession.
* Technical Consistency: Statistical profiles suggest areas for improvement include his passing accuracy, offside awareness, and ability to hold onto the ball under pressure.
Career Context
* International: He represents Trinidad and Tobago at the international level.
* Experience: He has gained significant senior experience through loan spells at Grimsby Town (League Two) and Lincoln City (League One) before returning to his parent club, Coventry City.

Feck me....
We love destroying strikers don't we.

Best forward options we've had for years. All capable of scoring goals.

Let's not forget that Morrison is only 22. Still plenty of time for him to mature as a player.

I quite like him if I'm honest.
