Another example of 'woke', apparantly. |

The ceasefire in that area is a real success (and will continue to be seen as such even if it doesen't hold). The majority of his other claims don't stack up to proper scrutiny and the deal with Russia doesn't look promising. |

Trump has influenced several agreements this year that he touts as "peace deals" or "ceasefires". While these have resulted in short-term pauses in some conflicts, they are often fragile, have not resulted in formal, lasting peace treaties, and in some cases, fighting has continued or even escalated after the deals were announced. |

It’s entirely possible to be concerned about the killing of innocent Palestinians without any sympathy whatsoever with Hamas. It’s entirely possible to be concerned about the killing of innocent Jews while still questioning some of the actions of Israeli leaders. It’s also important to note that the latter point isn’t anti semitic. |

That's a big issue, I agree. If we want great public services we have to pay for them. I think most agree with this but the question is around how we do it. |

I don't know (apart from aneccdotally) if the ones in place are good, bad or stimmied by the system, but the point still stands that compared to private industry there's far fewer of them. |

I suppose the one thing to be grateful for is that there were no automatic weapons involved. Can you imagine the devastation if that were the case? I think you right about rifle bans - unfeasible in a country like Australia. As for the man who intervened, what a hero. A bad guy with a gun stopped by a good guy with a gun. Incredible bravery. |

Yep, the NHS is chronically short of managers compared to private industry. |

As I said earlier, Rory would be my pick. |

I also think that we’ve forgotten that for practically every ‘average’ person, anxiety it a perfectly normal emotion. You should be able to say that without dismissing those for whom the condition is genuinely crippling. |
