Benda is injuried. I'd guess it must be a long term injury if they felt the need to bring in another keeper.

They don't have to when you've got 4 kids there are comfortable promoting to the 1st team.

McBurnie to Sheffield Utd/Brighton for £12 million?
at 17:01 21 Jun 2019

If they aren't willing to pay 20-25 million they shouldn't even answer the phone. They have already said there isn't a bag of money to spend on a replacement. I highly doubt the combo of Baker-Richardson, Asoro, Biabi, and Cullen could replicate McBurnie's production.

Three signings would be ideal, but two would be realistic for the current squad. A forward, a midfielder and a center back are all we really need.

Something tells me we're really going to see if all the success the u23 have had translates into first team success. Cian Harris (CB), Aaron Lewis (RB), George Byers (CAM) and Daniel James (LW) are all going to be given a chance IMO.

It's more of a numbers thing than a lot of you guy realize. We've got 23 players in the squad with no backup LB, a replace Mawson at CB and no backup CF until Bony comes back from injury. So it would be unlikely to move for anyone until others are sold.

Both Declan John and Tom James seem more like HJ type of players. The dream is that we move for someone like Miguel Trauco or Brendan Galloway to cover LB.

Keep in mind, Martin Olsson is out of contract in the summer.

Supposedly James can be used as a CB.

With only a few days to go, it's time we cross our fingers we'll be able to get a few deals across the line. If Ayew, Clucas & Fulton leave before deadline day we'd need 4 or 5 replacements. CF, 2x CM/DMF, CB and a LB.

This post sums up exactly what's been wrong with our approach to transfers over the last few seasons. We've avoided any player once we got into a bidding war and targeted lesser players. Now we're trying to sell players that no one wanted 2 or 3 years ago and wondering why no one still wants them today.

I feel Mckenna coming here is more dependant on if he's playing in Europe or not.

I can also understand Riedewald not wanting to come here to be a backup to either Woods or Mckenna. But Palace is about to sign Cheikhou Kouyaté and that only pushes him further down the depth charts.

I highly doubt Naughton is going anywhere when we still only have one LB. The fact that they didn't even take Jordi Govea on the pre-season tour speaks volumes about him being ready to step into the first team. It actually wouldn't surprise me to see him get a contract extension.
