Was hoping Lloyd and maybe Chair spotting old green and white Brooks shirt in the season ticket video was a nod to something along those lines this season but am sure just clutching at straws - and there was a whole load of old shirts in the vid in fairness.
I'm with Hastings though and if its a gambling sponsor I wont be buying it - i do know that's where all the sponsorship money is in the league now but just not willing
Agree with all the comments on here re: team selection today. It was truly odd as even Mark Hughes could see you can't play Andersen and Madsen together as Norf says.
I reckon Madsen is going to be a big player for us next season. I have been known to be very wrong.
Weird as I've been in the School End Lower this season ' it comes up with the option to renew but states its £139 which it isn't and then the whole area isn't available on the map.
Was likely going to move back to SB again but a decent little community had developed around me my dad and a couple friends this year which I've come to enjoy.
Would think they'd email those sitting there to confirm the situation
I'd definitely have Yang back for a season - he's clearly nowhere near ready for the Prem yet mind you Spurs have had one shocker of a season amusingly.
He looks like he'll be a top player with his sharpness, finishing and pace and looks to enjoy it here at the moment.
I've fallen in love with Saito and would love us to sign him permanently.
Should be a solid if unspectacular season - glad Carse has made it into the England side and looking at home there. Be interesting to see how goes next winter in the Ashes. Enjoyed watching Bedingham batting on one leg earlier and he's a real class act. Reckon we'll roll Warks over tomorrow but you can never tell.
Also have a Sussex soft spot now as lived down here a while and play locally. My club has signed a former Pakistan international to play for the first XI in the Sussex Prem this season so look forward to seeing how he goes in the summer though I'm down in the lowest echelons of the the club and leagues as my love of the game has never been matched by my talent sadly.
Sitting in the School End Lower he was a man transformed for that first half hour - seemed to win everything and excellent smart, fast passing. Has that technical ability that makes it look effortless when on song.
Hard to know what to make of the rest of the team as he tired but so did everyone in the front four as Bristol Cuty kept the ball well. Still seemed to be winning headers but yes much less effective and its always hard to see what's going on at the loft end really so will leave that analysis to others.
I was impressed yesterday and good to see the crowd give him a decent sendoff when subbed. He doesn't look the sort who'll turn it around to spite a fanbase on his back.
Loved watching Taye Taiwo. Seemed a nutter - remember him rugby tackling a winger who'd got past him. All the money we blew then its odd we didn't go for him at 3.5m.
I can't see past Kyle Walker though. Probably the greatest player I've ever seen at QPR - certainly the most successful. Up and down the pitch in about 2 seconds flat it felt like.
Refs just pick on a player at a certain point - and we were certainly milking it as like all teams.
The old I'll take it actually no you jog here and waste another 15 seconds trick was clearly in play. Always think it's a difficult one for refs as if you applied timewasting laws (as I understand em) every team with a delicate lead will end games with 8 or 9 men the way everyone goes about it these days.
I am not sure I have the words to describe how poor that first half was.
How do we have three central midfielders playing and no midfield?
How was Andersen and Paal ever considered a plausible defensive side in professional football?
Tough to watch. What a miserable end to the season after the fun of December and January. Always kings or paupers, can't we just have a season of being playing like a minor earl.
Far too young to have seen him fight in his prime or even later years but that era of boxing he was such a huge part of makes it so very hard to take the modern farce of boxing - particularly the heavyweight division, seriously. I would admittedly take it seriously if one of them was standing in front of me wanting to fight...would seriously leg it.
I remember watching the show Billions (very good) and Damian Lewis (very good) character wanting to buy a sports team there but being turned down as new money. Show said something along the lines of in other countries you get given peerages or marry a royal but in the US you get anointed to own a sports team.
Clearly a functional show but definitely something in the status thing- a lot cheaper to run QPR then an NFL team etc
Remember there was a slight buzz when signing him from Hearts last summer.
Can't remember the last time I was aware of this number of players in the DS/Academy set-ups - has been interesting following the recruitment over the last couple years.
Is it easy to get into the games at the training ground?
