Swansea City v Sheffield Wednesday : Match day thread
at 17:13 3 Feb 2026

If one scores during a 5-1 drubbing that’s fine by me 😉

We all know we will create chance after chance, and many agree someone is due a real walloping.

Momentum for WC 2026 boycott growing .

I know you follow Wales relentlessly and will cheer as loudly as anyone if we get there. Your opinion for that alone is correct. I’m hearing the exiled Welsh in the USA will be there in vast numbers, even further afield like Canada.

If there’s opposition don't worry FIFA have the finances to quell that.

He will be given a chance, Huddersfield are covering his wages which are minimal by Swansea standards. His class for me will show through. My belief is they can’t ignore him.

Momentum for WC 2026 boycott growing .
at 17:05 3 Feb 2026

Some see things politically, me i see things differently. As per my post above. You know me by now that my politics are neither here nor there after forty years of Labour voting and anti fascist work. It’s documented with the band over that time as well. Longer in fact.

Nowadays I don’t see a left or right just the dismay of what was true years ago for any working class Welshman. Labour have gone, the Tory’s I couldn’t vote for ever, so the alternatives have no place in my life.

Football will win and so will the World Cup for the reasons I stated above.

It will go ahead for sure, a boycott at this level would be a drop in the pond. And few ripples.

Anyone using a political position are as lost as those who know nothing about football but like the occasion. In equal amounts.

England and Scotland will take thousands and group tickets are at an achievable price level. We can only hope that March brings an equal response from Wales.

England World Cup fixtures ticket prices (ESTC members)
Croatia (group stage) - £198 to £523
Ghana (group stage) - £164 to £448
Panama (group stage) - £164 to £463
Round of 32 - £175 to £456
Round of 16 - £220 to £575
Quarter-final - £508 to £1,076
Semi-final - £687 to £2,370
Final - £3,129 to £6,489

Five games there for England fans for around £900 if they have chosen to gamble on pre quarter final games. They won’t care about any boycott.

Thought Martin at times was equally as vulnerable with his defensive tactics as the last three managers.

Balance of probability he would get away with that defence.

Hands up we didn’t take on board the info on it possibly being a loan, that’s my fault entirely.

The terms we now know are the Swans have first refusal on him, it is a loan to buy so everything is as reported really. I think it’s the right choice mate. Players will move on in the summer the Swans know that, we have a clearer plan going forwards than we have seen for some time.

No deals are in full it will still be as we stated before.

Yes that’s on our deadline day ticker. Something has gone wrong today because all terms with the club have been agreed three days ago. Whatever happened this morning I’m pointing the finger right at IK Sirius without any other info.

Swansea measure up as Matos tactics outsmart Watford
at 11:56 2 Feb 2026

Announced by the Indy 8 minutes after teams disclosed in Saturday. Still today (not on here) there’s the less intelligent asking about why he was missing from the squad two days ago ! 😂

Still who knows where they will be going after May 😉
