I think we underestimate the importance of Cook and Field to this team, anyone know the stats of n points with/without the 2 of them? And when the 2 of them play together? May be wrong but think it would be telling. |

You're assuming MC doesn't want to get out at the first opportunity and a pay off isn't a great option for him. If I had a seat on the Board, I'd have some qualms about about those sat opposite me and their ability to do anything more than rinse and repeat. I agree with Mart, if the same issue keeps happening, whilst MC has to take fair share of responsibility, maybe the overriding issue is not the manager. |

Totally agree with this, years of underperformance suggests all non-playing staff need to be challenged to improve or go, I just can't see that Nourry has the experience or credibility to do that effectively. On MC its only a few soundbites, but I doubt it relates to a few losses to the top teams or that his dog has died, his contract was improved because that linked to his initial deal, and the restrictions put on access to him means these soundbites speak pretty loudly about the wider club management in my opinion. I rate him highly but sadly think he'll be gone in the summer. |

I went big and put £1 e/w on this yesterday and didn't think to check, just seen a bonus £30 in my account, cheers for sharing! |

The drop off since we appeared to have done enough to be safe is shocking...I'd love to know what bonuses the players have in their contracts, certain to be one for avoiding relegation, but perhaps there isn't one for making the play offs. |

Good point, no definite answers, a Leicester forum suggests it was £5m for 1st, £300k for 10th and £50k for 16th, but no idea if that is accurate, but either way appears modest. I still feel we need to balance best team and blooding young/recovering players, as we need to maintain the winning momentum, for the fans and club, we slip to 16-20th with 3 wins in the last 11 games and its not a great sell for potential new players, for keeping the likes of Dunne etc, or sponsors. Ultimately I trust MC to get this right based on the information he will have. |

I've not read all 5 pages, so this may have been said, but seems a little simplistic to say remove the loans and play our own, we want to get as many points this year to be as high as possible, as places = prize money. For me, Edwards is one of our best players, as Walker was, they're not just here to develop, they make us better. Yang however I've not understood from the start, he doesn't appear to add quality we don't already have. Personally I'd use Yang as a sub but I'd play Edwards and rotate Cook and Morrison, as it helps the 2 of them fully recover and build match fitness. The club know which of the out of contract are likely to re-sign and we won't now turn Morrison, Lloyd or Sutton into a multi-million pound prospect by the summer, so for me its about finding a blend. Simon/Clive, do we have any insight as to which of these 3 areas were identified as accounting opportunities by the Retexo audit and which were already planned by the previous management team? Also how we amortise spend and report depreciation can be a big factor in smart accounting, again has this approach changed since the Retexo audit? Sounds like Nourry has executed the plan pre/post January, but would be interesting to know if we're now seeing early stage output from the Retexo work? I've voiced a big concern about Nourry before and it remains, I don't think he's the second coming he seems to think he is, but happy to be proven wrong, we'll find out for sure in about 3 years if he's the real deal, but potentially a good first step |

For me he's done enough to justify an extension being offered, on the best terms we can offer within the salary structure I assume we have. I'd imagine at 31 he knows he won't get what he gets now, so if he accepts our best offer, great, but if he wants more and can get it elsewhere, good luck to him. Same with Dunne...make your best offer and then its up to the player. |
 | Forum Reply | Dunne off? at 15:22 3 Feb 2025
Agree with most of that, we believe he loves the club, but ultimately only the club know if he wants to stay and perhaps this is just about length of contract, as was suggested, but comparing to Madsen isn't a fair one, who is clearly our biggest mistake for a few years, we should compare to the renewals for Chair, Kolli, Morgan, Lloyds, but we don't know the details. Perhaps the club took a hard line on 3 years with them, if so, it won't go well if they break that for Dunne. I just hope the club have made him their best offer possible, then its over to him, if Sheff Utd will pay enough and still want him. |
 | Forum Reply | Dunne off? at 14:20 31 Jan 2025
I agree with this, I also wonder if they're trying to land him for buttons as a short term fix, and if they don't get him for £500k for example they'll go elsewhere for a longer term option...Tanganga for example, he can play CB or RB, he's young and has the potential to play in the Prem. Would be a lot more than JD, but they have the money. |
 | Forum Reply | Dunne off? at 13:57 31 Jan 2025
This is all about Dunne, if he wants to stay, that's great, sign, if not, sell him for as much as we can and include first refusal on a loan at capped wages, as you can be sure that if they go up, he won't feature, so he can come back if we needed him. Will be a shame to see him go, but a simple decision of sign or sell |
 | Forum Reply | New Year transfer window rumours at 09:39 29 Jan 2025
I really hope the belief in Larkeche is right, and he can compete for a start next season...but I'd say he needed a long winter in Scotland to forget his traumas of the 4-0 defeat to Blackburn last year |

 | Forum Reply | Clive meeting with Nourry at 14:26 16 Jan 2025
Cheers for the report, its an interesting read. Appears to be a strange character in my opinion, who deals in half-truths, and for all the reasons I've said before I don't trust him, but hopefully he's learning fast. Given the reference to Kolli, I'd assume we'll see an extension for him announced very soon. Also wonder if the Ashby deal includes an affordable buy option that they expected to take, whether that's still the case based on his performances I don't know. |
 | Forum Reply | Dyches sacked at 09:12 10 Jan 2025
Given the bottom 3, Moyes surely won’t have to work too hard to keep them up. My guess is that Dyche will be in charge of Watford in the coming weeks, played there and Cleverley must be on the ropes given their history |
