My fingers are permanently crossed Blackcat. Would like to see more consistent selection if possible with a two man attack. Maybe that could lead to to those wins rather than draws! But I'm sure this sick old worm will turn soon. I dream of mid table but I'm sure we'll achieve it.......at some stage! Up the "1-1 specialist last minute one prong attack U's!!!" |

Another 1-2 from the U's odd bunch of journeymen. Sadly the bottom of the table is beginning to get more adrift so a long season inevitably awaits. Shame we sold Ihionvien and Wilkinson - he scored several again today - and don't play Jay. No continuity and little direct forward play . As such maybe we play for draws? Long way to go and it'll feel longer than that. |

Indeed Durham. Clearly the Arsenal win was of no intuitive value regarding today's XI. Flanagan, Gordon, Hunt and Anderson are non lg players yet are chosen above the likes of Jay. It's all rather baffling but I spose we know what we're doing. Trouble is we're 21st as usual. |

At least Lyle Taylor does seem to care. 2-7-5 = 13 measly points. A long winter ahead as supporters I think. |

I do begin to wonder, as I'm sure do others, if by misfortune or whatever we have arrived at a squad of first team players for whom it doesn't really matter much. Get paid, go home, other stuff....but NOT Colchester United. I hope I am wrong but I see little to disabuse me of those thoughts. If this is so it wouldn't matter who or what the management was. It couldn't be done. We present as a spectacularly poor underachieving team. |

Sadly exemplified what a poor, poor side we are. Feel for Matt Jay. Long season already with precious little progress or joy. And, I suppose, no more than I anticipated but it's still so disappointing to see us so short of quality and determination. Why it is I guess we'll never know. Ah well....next week. |

Absolutely Wessex, 18th, realistically would be a tentative positive step and that'll do for me......for a start! |

Very well said. And sometimes even well set up and analysed we'll still lose but we're a poor side at the moment and the job to improve is long term. I always felt this would seem like a long season and so it's proving but turning this sick juggernaut around was always very long term with who knew what within that process. The odd win here and there will do wonders for them and I can only applaud the wonderful effort of our supporters who are travelling away in greater numbers and turning up at home likewise. I'm sure the players appreciate this. Keep executing those plans and get fully stuck in and we'll be mid table by Easter!! Up the U's and their support! |

The interviewing on that channel - Gregory included - are deplorable, juvenile and unwatchable. They are excruciatingly patronising with fed responses. No use to me nor insight into the reality of our U's. I stopped bothering some time ago after a particularly ghastly interview with Samson. 100%. |
