I.Saw's Match Report - Rams Ruined As Ref Runs On Fergie Time!
at 12:03:35

What? No word about the referee and linesmen all showing obvious favour to the likes of Robbie Savage? Any other ref, with an ounce of guts, would have shown Savage a yellow for that deliberate time wasting argument he had with Savage.
If anybody is to blame for the six minutes added time it is your players and manager, not forgetting Clough tried to steall a minute by making a substitution in added on time.

Humble in Victory? Seemingly Not In Swansea
at 12:00:46

Thanks, thiswan. Sadly, as each team edges closer to the Premier League, more and more questionable supporters find their way among the true family of followers.

I didn't dare include this in the article, as I must make certain that I do not besmirch the FansNetwork by adding a personal view.

Cardiff City played away at Doncaster , didn't they? It might be interesting to follow up and addresses of casual ticket purchasers to see how many drove over the mountain.

Enjoy your holiday here. I did for many years, so I moved here.

QPR Boss Colin of Newark Plays Mind Games Again
at 01:07:13

Well, Hull held us to a draw, so the gap has increased. Fans at the game suggest that we were not at our best, and right back Russell Martin has come out and said that the International break is going to be a welcome break as well as possibly bringing Chris Martin back into the frame for the run in. Which is, as you say, unenviable.

I was at Bramall Lane a few years ago, when Colin was still there, before their brief sojourn in the Prem. I am disabled, so Bramall Lane was yet another ground where we were stuck in with the home supporters. After the game, my carer and I started chatting with some of the less obnoxious Sheffield supporters. By that time even the supporters were waiting for Warnock to make a sackable mistake.

I have no idea what the situation is like at QPR, if you are in similar circumstances as Cardiff, where promotion is essential to pay your bills, or if you have a load of loan players so will need to invest huge amounts to buy a Premier League side, but I do wonder if Warnock's mind games are as much to give himself a morale boost.

Any road up, well played today. Proved me wrong :0(, and I agree that it should be us that keeps you company next season. I cannot go quite as far as you, my Welsh relatives might read this if they can take their eyes of the Rugby reports. :0)

QPR Boss Colin of Newark Plays Mind Games Again
at 11:28:44

Thanks for taking the time to respond, which is my aim, of course :)

QPR are running away with things at the moment, but the gap between QPR and Norwich City has been considerably narrowed over the past few weeks and there can be little doubt that history could repeat itself, as we overhauled Leeds last season. I am not saying it is a probability, but it would very negative if Norwich fans did not look upon such an achievement as a possibility.

Neil Warnock was pretty miffed after your visit here. In fact, Mr Warnock has been pretty miffed with the result when he used to bring Sheffield United down here. Once getting into yet another FA wrangle in the instance when he stormed off without shaking Nigel Worthington's hand and accusing Darren Huckerby of cheating. So we are well used to his tantrums.

After as good as labelling Grant Holt a cheat, for this news to come out now, what other purpose is there in saying he is interested in Holt if, as you suggest, he will have his eye automatically on a higher prize?

Perhaps you are not bothered about Norwich overhauling you, but the niggle of doubt must be there or thereabouts; especially with this FA charge still to be resolved. Which, by the way, only hard headed Norwich supporters would like to see a points reduction. Which you won't get, as they didn't stop West Ham any points (which upset Mr Warnock again). Besides, If Norwich should manage to beat you to top spot, it should only be on a season's points total and not with a leg up from any disciplinary panel.

Almost an article in itself, sorry. Good luck to you at Loftus Road. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Norwich did all this last season, so there will be a good feeling running through the players. If we fail to take the title, it won't be through lack of effort, or fear...

Good report. And thanks for the link above. Two good sides with a history that shows an even match, with Leeds Utd having the slight edge.
The stats made this too close to call and I felt a point was a good result for Norwich even if it did mean a drop down the table.
Still, if it stays that way we wont have to fight it out until we flood Wembley with our combined support.
I confess that I had earlier predicted that Leeds might fade a bit as the end drew closer, based upon last season, especially, but all credit to Grayson and the lads. Belief is nine tenths of the battle and belief was there in spades at Elland Road on Saturday.

I confess I was at this match in earholes only, listening in on the local radio. Compared to a lot of referees Norwich have had to tolerate, Swarbrick was a dream, but as you point out, he made some howlers that you had to be there to see. Haven't been to Elland Road for about five years. Very naughty of me. Still reading your report on "To EllAndBackBack.org". I will comment on your side...

How did Norwich get dragged into this keyboard battle?

I just wish it was over on my site where it would have helped to boost my viewing fugures :)

Still, as Oscar Wilde once said: The only thing worse than being spoken about is NOT being spoken about.

And qpr-ox. We aren't all web-toed layabouts. Some of us have jobs.

Keep getting drawn in as the editor of the Norwich forum, so here's my tuppence-worth.
We aint journalists, we are supporters. Regardless of what our day jobs are. Try as we might to be factual, we are writing as supporters, and the views here are those of a QPR supporter.
Why some people feel a need to resort to language not suitable for a family site is beyond me. Act your age and debate like adults.

Celtic's Gary Hooper on loan to Norwich?
at 14:02:29

Thanks for the replies. I must admit, when I was reading up on Hooper, that his scoring ratio is far too good for him to be packed off. These rumours are outrageous but they are getting posted up and I offer a short cut to find them. Whether I believe them or not I feel it only fair to pass it on. After all, some might not even know about the dodgy rumours site. :-)

Leeds Supporters Won't Let Things Rest
at 13:39:29

I am certainly NOT lying. I even provided a link to the Sky Sports clip. And, to be perfectly frank, I have neither the time, nor the inclination, to surf around such sites as YouTube or Daily Motion in hopes that I may chance across some grainy mobile phone video clip. Did I say there was no contact? I said the video clips showed no contact. A subtle difference, but a difference nonetheless.
As for "double standards", I hate to have to point this out to you, but Michael Oliver's red card against Grant Holt was overturned by the FA, So a reason to be aggrieved was also felt by the governing body.

Norwich City -v- Leeds United
at 16:10:42

The Bristol result I probably read wrong, but it was one of your own papers that was bemoaning your lack of success.

Glad to know that others believe Norwich is a spending club. There won't be any NCFC supporters who would agree, though.

And as for attendances, well you have a larger stadium for one thing. But where were they all last season? Fair weather comes to mind...

Predict a result? 2-1 to Norwich, with you getting the first.

Enjoy the journey and keep you chin up on the way back home. You won't win everything, just as you bottled it last season. :)
