West Brom report - plus discussion about this site next season, feedback welcome
at 15:59 25 Jul 2020

Rarely post but avid reader, having had to relinquish my ST after many years financial circumstances and in the process of relocating to Yorkshire this is my go to site, the knowledge and community that LFW has is incredible. Even through my change of circumstances I would be more than happy to make a contribution monthly like others with little change in content etc. Superb

I enjoyed Saturday
at 01:59 10 Aug 2017

Flew back from Monpellier on Saturday and managed to get to the game with minutes to spare (all planned), thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the game itself and following the dire football of last season, the sun finally shone on loftus road. I do not post very much but read all the posts on LFW, for the first time in a long while I left the game a happy man - even managed to see a little of the youth playing on the Tv as |I am currently in Barcelona, which looked a little scrappy but we came out with a draw. Looking forward to the season ahead, but not thinking about there idea of promotion/top 6 but a happy mid table with some good football amongst it.

Real Madrid Juveniles v QPR Juveniles
at 01:51 10 Aug 2017

Visiting Barcelona fora couple of days (recommend Cera 23 and craft beer place in Ravla) happened by accident to see the end of first half and start of second half, our number 16 looked solid but gave away a couple of free kicks outside the box, their second goal was an unfortunate own goal deflection for some strange reason everything went grey after 47 mins and then =tribute to Ronaldo started and Real Madrid love in started glad we score a second goal

Tel Aviv - anyone been?
at 21:53 3 Aug 2016

Konk- I've just got back from 2 weeks in Israel - have a family house in caesarea north of Tel aviv, son (fellow ST lower loft) has returned from 3 week tour in Israel.
Love the place - Tel Aviv especially down by the new promenade is well worth hanging out - a bit hip! Jerusalem can be a bit over powering in places however if you feel adventurous go into the markets great local style eating places very reasonable traditional food with locals. Haifa is ok - Elijah's Cave. A must, if the get the chance Mitzpe Ramon in the Negev desert - incredible place, looks like all space movies should be made there.
I find the Israelis abrupt but just get on with it, no problem with security, get used to army travelling around. Eilat for diving and snorkelling, Coral beach is the place - even walking to waters edge saw lots of different fish, rays etc (43 degrees last week!)
We have a friend who is a guide - originally from Bournemouth he's brilliant especially with local knowledge and getting info out at the right level e.g. kids, adults teenagers - took us to see Santana in the park Tel Aviv last Saturday - free, he's in the know.
Driving is mental no concept of which lane to use but it flows - good roads especially the 1,2,4 6 and 40
Originally went 20 years ago, try and get over at least twice a year at the moment - March will be cooler, it has been known to snow in Jerusalem in March!
If you want to know more let me know
by the way - have to have goats cheese, ST holder and been registered for nearly two years and this may be my first post! Love the site, live in Pinner can't wait to get back in the swing of it come this Sunday at mid day.
