Thought we were in for another hiding but we had chances to get back in the game and was thankful we didn’t concede more . I think it was Varane who gave it away for the second but it was an awful mistake regardless of the decent finish . As Clive said , all these sides who struggled early in the season who have the parachute payments are finding another gear and so it proved today . Put our three best players Burell , Chair and Madsen back in the team , probably a different result . Hamer and Bamford came on as subs which puts everything in perspective |
 | Forum Reply | Our ‘goal’ today….why was it disallowed? at 18:48 28 Feb 2026
That will be an interesting conversation with the Lino and his partner tonight “How was your day darling?” “ Not bad apart from 16, 000 people calling me a c**nt for 15 minutes. “ We were right behind it and no more pushing and shoving than normal. To disallow that then Dunne should have had 3 penalties today . Complete B*****s |

Do they care any more? How long has this Man City case being going on for? Feels like years . They forked out millions on a couple of new recruits in the last window. So they’re not bothered . Footballs bent from top to bottom anyway . David Dein the ex Arsenal chairman defending the utterly contemptuous World Cup ticket pricing saying it’s market forces. I mean really . C****! |

Don’t want to start a pile on here but it’s Joe Lumley all over again . He’s costing us goals and lots of them . In fairness the rest of them weren’t much better |

Hugh johns was the best commentator ever . For those of us old enough to remember. John Murray on BBC 5 live is right up there. For us Irish on here . Jimmy McGee was a bit of of legend back in the day., |

Apparently he’s first goals since his hatrick against Spurs in November. Amazing what happens when they actually start him. |

Did we have the same mother in law? Seriously though she came her in the 50 s |

Both brown bread. Decent people though . My mother in law was a no nonsense German lady who came here in the fifties and was a force of nature . I had a real affinity with her though as we were both immigrants and I ended up doing her eulogy at her funeral. Father in law was a very mild mannered man who liked his pint in the conservative club on a Sunday morning despite voting Labour all his life . Must say I got lucky and both are sadly missed. |

Sweet and sour, Is it ? Sums up following Rangers . We go from last week to this . Enjoy mate. |

He was great today. We’ve signed two strikers, both young and both stepping up to a higher level . One has already gone over the ten mark and Kone will join him soon . Still over a quarter of the season to go . We’ve waited for a decent striker to come along for years . We now have two. |

When you think you’re day can’t get any better . Ireland dominated a very poor England side. That bottle of red will taste even better tonight. |

Some might not agree but if Madsen keeps playing at the level he is at the moment. He’s probably our most sellable asset . However take him out of the team and we’ll struggle even more. |
