It is pretty rare to have both of the following happening:- - Labour to not be in the top 2, and; - Tories to lose their deposit It looks to me that neither of the “big two” can continue to rely on traditional core support, as people can see what an utter shambles both of those parties have been in government. We are heading for coalition politics and the “big two” have brought this on themselves. |

I think that Reform taking Jenrick and Braverman into their party was the beginning of their downfall. |

I’ve just been reading up on Polanski. He’s an interesting character, f’sure. I note that he and Caroline Lucas, who I have always rather admired, seem to be quite a long way apart from being political colleagues. |

Looks to me that we are heading for a coalition government in a couple of years. Only question is whether it will be; - Labour / Lib Dems / Greens, or; - Tories / Reform What a mess. This could all have been avoided if Starmer and Reeves (who I voted for 2 years ago) hadn’t made such a shitshow of things. |

Would be good to get 5th, and avoid Ipswich in the semi-final. They would be the only side I would be concerned about playing over two legs. |

The crowds they get in their Second Division are astounding. It’s not a great standard of football (can’t be if Downs was a star) but the atmosphere is miles ahead of anything over here, as I imagine Wints76 will confirm. |

I moved over to the area you are referring to just after Christmas. I had previously been a ST holder in the Northam, but the Millwall home game was the final straw, just mutes on their phones everywhere. No support for the team whatsoever. I love it in Block 20 of the Chapel. No idiots on phones, and no Scouser songs. It will be the new Itchen North in time, hopefully even better. |

I did say before the Fratton game that he needed to come back into the team, so can only presume Eckert was reading the Ugly 😉 In fairness, I said he should be left-back as I thought Welington and Manning were both hopeless, but they have both upped their game. |

Guess we should be safe from relegation now 😂 |

I got it wrong. He’s looking the real deal. An absolute pest for defenders, and great hold-up play. Looking a really good signing. |

Looks like he’s been the best manager in the League since he took over, judging by SKY’s stats after the game (wins, shots etc….). |

I quite like that Eckert isn’t one of these attention-seeking coonts on the touchline like that idiot Jones. He’s a thinker, and he talks a lot of sense. Has also been adaptable; I think he was too slow to ditch 3 CB’s, but he did it just in time for the Fratton game. I think he’ll have a good career in the game. I didn’t see myself saying this at Christmas, but I think he deserves a good crack at this job. |
