I've noted this season that some on here have comented that 'Marti has got that wrong' when it comes to the team selection (yes i know we had injuries), but that the team selection, or substitutions have been wrong or innefective.
Do we think, taking into the overall 'round' of things that all in all, is he doing a good job, or not?
I dont see enough live to come to a conclusion, i'm afraid.
No sitting down, your a sportsman, man up and hobble to the nearest side quickly or your carded (and give a time limit of, say, 10 seconds)
You can then have someone tend to your little aches and pains outside the playing surface boundary. Once your ok to come on, you jog round to the respective dug out and you come on when the ref becons you, not before.
oh, and it should be illegal in the rules for your director of sport / fitness etc to be in another country all the damn time!
When i started following Rangers (circa 1965), we had 1 substitute i think i remember.
If the goalkeeper got injured then an outfield player went in goal.
None of this 5 a side switcharoo we have now that just wastes time, and invariably makes us all miss our buses / trains (delete where appropriate) home!
It also throws each team off their stride, especially if a player goes down for seemingly 20 minutes (you know what i mean).
Seems to me that a limit of 2 players should be allowed, nothing more. Oh and the extra time added, at the end should not be, only 2 or 3 minutes max so if you try and stretch a game out, your out of luck.
I'd also insist on an injured player needs to be removed from the pitch immediately with the shortest of delay, put him on a stretcher and carry him off immediately.
Any one got any more ideas.... funny, silly or actually sensible?
From my point of view i'm french connection uk'd off about it all.
A little but worried that we may get a complete 'gubbing' tonight by 3 or 4 goals, lose 2 'fit' players to injury in the warm up, and have a player sent off.
However this is Rangers, so i predict 0-2 to the supa hoops.
For those that dont know, The group watched a couple of home matches in the 80's, and they sat in the SAR stand each time. ( and we won one of those matches).
Apparently Cancer.
