Surprise surprise
at 19:35 16 May 2011

From F365

May 12: Swansea's Neil Taylor is sent off for planting his studs into Nottingham Forest's Lewis McGugan's private trouser area. Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers accepts the decision, commenting that he had "no complaints" and that "I can understand it and I'm not going to cry about it".

May 14: Swansea appeal the sending off to the Welsh FA. 'The club feels it has grounds for an appeal to the Football Association of Wales,' read a Swansea statement. 'After reviewing the video evidence... Swansea City can confirm that the club will be appealing against the red card issued to Neil Taylor in the first leg of the play-offs at Nottingham Forest on Thursday night.'

Their first goal?
at 11:40 8 May 2011

Having seen the highlights I'm still not 100% who got the final touch. My first instinct was it was an own goal (well actually, my first instinct was obviously that it came off Ryan Lowe, but my second instinct was that it was an own goal).

At the time I also thought OFW should have retrieved it easily. A couple of nervous moments in the first half blighted what was otherwise a cracking shot-stopping performance.

Just got back...

...to South East London!

Cracking performance today from the lads, probably just about edged the game ahead of a terrified Charlton side. One of the more 'homer' refereeing performances we will see this season - can't comment on the disallowed goal, but one cast-iron penalty decision turned down and one marginal hand ball (of which we've see plenty given against us). Persistence personified from Bob to score the goal, its just a shame Charlton ruined our celebrations by scoring whilst we were still jumping up and down. Oh well. The fact we had a former Premiersh*t team wasting time in the corners at 3-1 up brings it all home for me! We are an established League One team.

Anyway, bring on Bournemouth! I plan to thoroughly enjoy my weekend and celebrate what has been a cracking season. Fancy dress anyone?

UP THE DALE

PS save of the season from OFW at the end of the first half? Definitely a candidate.

Definitely a league one team next season. Absolutely shambolic all over the pitch, no organisation, no communication. Can't believe QPR haven't scored yet!

I have train tickets from London for the Yeovil and Swindon away games over the next couple of weeks. Unfortunately am out of the country on business and can no longer use these.

Happy to pass these on to any Dale fan making the trip - no charge (though a pint of ale at a future away game wouldn't go unappreciated!), let me know if interested and I can pass on train times etc.

Razzle - would you mind sticking this in the Exiles e-mail this week?

Desperately unlucky to be on the losing side today - Citeh very fortunate on a few decisions today.

Bet Matt never thought he'd see the day David Silva curled the ball past him though!

Never thought I'd hear Harry Redknapp talk some sense...

"He also hit out at the lack of opportunities available to English coaches.
"There are people out there in the lower divisions who could do my job, without a doubt," he stated.

"John Still at Dagenham and Redbridge could do my job. He understands the game, fantastic on the game. Never gets a chance to manage in the Premier League."
