My bad. Maybe it's force of habit to assume each signing is a loan 🤪

Says he is on loan but last line says he's left Oldham by mutual consent. Strange one.

Reports he will be sold at Rotherham. He's been their captain and done well so may move for an ok fee. Any idea if we have a sell on clause?

Any reason Louis Moulden isn't on the list? 👀

Totally agree. On 85 minutes he sprinted 50 yards back, slide tackle, won the ball and dribbled 40 yards the other way to win a free kick. Me and hundreds of dale fans rightly applauded. For all the inflated hype Danny Lloyd received, in comparison Hayes is head and shoulders above. You can tell he enjoys his chant and hopefully (just like East) with the fans love he could be persuaded to join as he is out of contract.

Missing the point completely. I am fully aware of what goes on. It's the hoards of new fans we are meant to hook in by putting on a show that left unmotivated and uninspired.

Hi Charlotte, huge fan of the work you do with the club. I will contact the email you popped on here. I've worked at a football club before and understand the stewards would have been brought in last minute on minimum wage. In some ways I'm not blaming them. The Wilbutts was full of new, young, female fans and there was just zero info about what to do. With no sound from the speakers we all may as well rocked up on norden field and sat in the hill to watch St Clements. It really needed someone from the club with a big sign saying "I'm here to help" or something like that. This extends to policing the female toilets. There were a group of lads that were harassing my partner inside the cubicle area with phones out on Snapchat. She said they were 13-15 years of age and with the bar next to the toilets, they then harassed her to buy them beer.

Again, the club cannot we responsible for the idiot kids but the area could have been managed better in terms of safety, catering, guidance, communication and enjoyment.

Was a shame we didn't get a pie but we put the money towards a Pavilion Curry on our walk back. Just a shame that hundreds of others in the half time queue also failed to part with their money at the club due to no food.

For the record, she thinks Louie Moulden is "fantastic"

If she's right on that, her other opinions deserve a listen 😜

Boxing Day Tickets for a £1
at 23:35 26 Dec 2023

There was a lot of school kids and mums near me that said that they got tickets from the community initiative. They said that many of their friends had tickets but weren't there. I think this must have been the story throughout the ground. The ones that attended seemed to enjoy it though which is a positive.

Despite the online ticket maps saying that most seats in my area were sold out, every other row was completely empty. Maybe blocked out for safety or community initiative tickets with non attenders

Yeah I'll contact the club.

Regarding the tannoy, she is a Sheffield Wednesday fleeting fan and for some reason enjoys the build up and info the announcer makes to help her understand what's going on etc. She feels that adds to the atmosphere and for her it really affected her experience. Obviously I wasn't too bothered but today no doubt there was a lot of "my girlfriends" in attendance. Match day quality experience includes a good MC in my opinion.

Having never sat in the Wilbutts as a home fan I'm not sure if it's a problem just today or just in that stand.

Regarding the bar and food, delighted they were busy. However, so so so many people in the Wilbutts were disappointed they never got any hot food. Why not overstock and donate to a food bank. Literally the queue was 50 or 60 deep at half time all wanting a pie. All of them fuming when I had to announce myself there was no food.

Stewards were also vaping.

I don't want to sound negative, I just wanted my club to put on a show of quality and competence throughout and the feedback is we didn't reach that. We nearly did but with such easy fixes.

...we bought 30 quid cash to spend on pies and drinks but because if the queue and lack of stock, I still hold £23.50 of that £30

Surely this was the whole point of the operation?

Not sure what the club could have done but she also reported young teenage lads in the female Wilbutts toilets taking pics under the toilet segregations. She's hard nosed so confronted them. However I'm guessing that new female fans may have massively been put off by this.

So I'm a dale fan of 20+ years and decided to take my girlfriend to Spotland for the first time.

I decided to book a decent view mid Wilbutts lane so she could at least see.

Here is her feedback.

Firstly, Baum is the best pub she's been to.

Not the club's fault but I'd bigged up Wilbutts Lane chippy that was unfortunately closed.

Huge queue for pies before game meant we decided to get one at half time.

Zero tannoy match build up and she didn't even know players had entered.

She thought the players looked tired in first half and atmosphere was poor (it was).

Hendo scored, fantastic. Zero sound on tannoy to celebrate the goal.

Half time we decided to get a pie. There was no pies left and apparently they sold out around 20mins into the game. She was very disappointed as I bigged up the pies beforehand. This was after a 20 min queue so missed first bit of second half. Not that we would know as there was no tannoy announcement.

Was it just me or was there no substitute board as I tried to explain to her who went off and on. As there was no tannoy sound I was struggling myself.

She enjoyed the goal and the win second half but thought the atmosphere would have been better.

I asked her if she wanted to go again and if she would think others would go and she said no.

Purely because there was no food and no tannoy announcements that may have helped the build up and understand what was happening in the game. There was no leaflets or incentives for a half season ticket or info on season tickets next year that may have persuaded new fans to take up.

Overall I thought the players didn't necessarily put on a show to keep new fans coming back and the club did not prepare the logistics to satisfy all new fans, especially in the Wilbutts where you would see majority new fans..

A great win but for me, huge opportunities missed to keep new fans hooked in.

Great scheme. Must do better

The only potential out because of his start may be Sinclair. Would something like a £250k bid be too tempting to turn down for how skint we are, and would he fetch that price?

York v Dale
at 17:57 28 Aug 2023

Three points but my god we did our best the throw that away against a poor team low on confidence. One on one I thought EEL was excellent but as a team we are woeful at defending corners (obviously) and don't seem to want to put their bodies on the line. So many unchallenged touches in our own box...but it's a win and three points with lots of learning.

Was Max Taylor drunk when he came on? One of the worst few minutes of professional football I've seen.

East ran his socks off in Clayton's absence and shout out to Keohane. He runs in that channel constantly and creates problems. He should be our nailed on RB.

I thought Simon started off in his normal upbeat manner and as the night went on he seemed totally deflated and, if I'm honest, ill. George Delves spoke well and positively in tough circumstances. Richard Knight seemed at the end of the line with it all. Murray Knight didn't speak. However, what the hell was Jamie Sarsfield playing at? I'm surprised it's not been mentioned more on here but his behaviour was absolutely unfit for any role in any organisation during a public meeting. Can anyone explain why he behaved like this or have any justification for this. My nails nearly burst through the table I felt that awkward during his outbursts.
