This season we maybe have Â£50M in the bank. That is not a lot for a rainy day.

I think you have left out the Â£30M overspend on the training ground even before the current spend.

I feel Cortese let everything go to his head when the Saints fans (not me) thought he was like a god. He spent unwisely and he overspent simply because he thought it was a good idea and didn't get the boards permission.

Obviously you are toying with us. I know there is a dearth of news now that the footy season has closed.

We did a great deal by selling Lalanna for Â£25M. He really wasn't worth that much. Fans liked him because of his ball skills and overlooked his lack of strategic / tactical vision. When he was made captain he looked completely out of his depth for at least 10 games until he realised he'd never be able to work it out.

Of course there is his complete lack of loyalty which precludes him ever returning even as a coach.

We have moved on and so has he.

One technique which is sadly missing is to for balls to be shot in at hip height. These are extremely difficult for defenders to deal with and would give us the opportunity to score an opportunistic goal.
