Well at least one of the crowd seems to have decent morals and ethics. I say seems to but we'll see if anything comes out about her.

I have watched such programmes, plenty of stuff about the Holocaust, the Irish potato famine and the events that caused it and prolonged it, the treatment of native peoples in the USA, Australia, India and on the African continent.

I don't need to be reminded how evil, twisted and sick humanity is, I think I understand that well enough.

It didn't slip my mind but not that many people were interested as shown by the less than 36% turnout. That said, had they mentioned changing the election laws and expanding the Senedd in 2011?

Besides which, having full law making powers and then using them to feather your own nest is still a big no-no. They cannot just re-write democracy without the electorates permission.

Finally, where did I mention Westminster, no, I said "without asking the people" and any believer in democracy shoukd be asking that question, where is their right to pick who sits where and make more room on the gravy train?

I know it was a different time, it was over 40 years ago but myself and some mates used to go on away trips by ourselves before we were 16, Brentford sticks out for me.

There's a couple of big assumptions in there. First Darling....is he really or is he interested in the best pay packet?

Second, Coleman....what Coleman would do is anyone's guess apart from the man himself and maybe his wife. People who tell their boss to butt out need to be in a very strong position and even then can find themselves unemployed.

What evidence do you have that he is not a yes man, try logic, if there is no evidence then best not present it as a fact.

How many of the electorate voted for them based on their manifesto? How many actually voted for them?

The expansion, just like the change in voting rules, should have been put to referenda.

It's an affornt to democracy that the ruling government can make such changes, that benefit primarily itself, without asking the people for permission.

I saw some of the footage on breakfast news including some filmed by Hamas. It made for uncomfortable viewing and I have no wish to see even more of it.

Hamas are rabid animals but what Israel have done in return is abhorrent. What's happening out there is awful and it appears to be spreading, with what's going on in Ukraine it looks like the world is heading in a bad direction.

It's not that no club will want to buy them, it's very much that they can get them for zero, zilch, nada and as such will not offer a fee in January when they can negotiate wages with them directly thus saving millions.

There is definitely ONE reader on here who didn't know about the age rule.

I have mentioned to you before that doing some research before posting can prevent unfortunate gaffe's!

Edit...you say the 6 month rule is irrelevant then go on to prove why it's very relevant. It's relevant to this thread because it shows why we will be hardly likely to get any bids in January which, in turn, shows your idea to sell two to pay for the third is a non starter.

Allen back in Wales contention?
at 21:51 27 Sep 2024

Two things, where is your evidence that Stoke are Allen's greatest love? he has been with Swansea a much longer time, albeit in 2 spells.

Before S4C, why did people turn their aerials to avoid prigrammes that were hardly ever broadcast?

Now Welsh nationalism...not nasty? Pull the other one. Welsh nats can be very nasty and equally as nasty to other Welsh people as to non Welsh.

Where is the proof of an Anglophile slant on here? I'm not fond of the English but I am British AND Welsh. There are Welsh people who'd criticise me for saying I am also British, for not being a fluent Welsh speaker or for (shock horror) daring to criticise the Senedd.

Assuming the wording is correct then Coleman claims he's invested "excessive" cash into Swansea City.

What is excessive? Because the word, to myself at least suggests too much. Slip of the tongue or honest opinion, if he really feels he's put too much in then maybe so do others?

Once they reach the last 6 months of their contracts they can talk to other clubs, we could lose all 3 for next to nothing if we persist with this.

If we try to sell one in January clubs may not come in because they know they can sign a pre-contract around then (maybe a few weeks later) and get the player for a pittance.

Taken from this, https://level.law/news/determining-the-level-of-compensation-for-out-of-contract

Under both the Premier League’s and the English Football League’s (EFL's) Rules and Regulations, a club signing an out-of-contract player under the age of 24 is (subject to the former’s club’s compliance with certain requirements) obliged to pay compensation to the former club for its training and development of the player.

It’s important to stress at the outset that compensation is not due in lieu of the transfer fee that would be payable if the player were under contract. The compensation is of an entirely different nature and the player’s perceived ‘market value’ and transfer fee comparables are irrelevant. Instead, the compensation is payable solely to compensate the former club for its training and development of the player, the rationale being that clubs should be rewarded for bringing through talent and incentivised to continue doing so.

The compensation fee payable by the new club is such sum as is agreed between the two clubs or, in default of agreement, “such sum as the Professional Football Compensation Committee on the application of either Club shall determine.” The PFCC considers nine factors – eight under Regulation 3 of the PFCC’s Regulations plus, under Regulation 4, the costs incurred by both clubs in the training and development of players. It is important that a club makes detailed submissions to the PFCC regarding each of those factors.

Cabango is 24, Cullen is 25 so there is no development fee. We'd lose all three of them for nothing.
Far better for LW to pick the one, or possbly 2 (goodbye Liam) he wants to keep the most and offer him an acceptable deal than lose all 3 for nothing.

Buying tickets...
at 21:19 27 Sep 2024

...or not.

Right, my intention is to watch Sundays game here, at home. My son wants to go so I told him, you can go. he contacted a mate and then asked me if I'd buy the tickets. I went on the site and tried to buy 2 under 18 tickets but it refused me saying U16's cannot go in the ground without adult supervision.

They're both 16 plus but under 18. If I'd bought two paper tickets in the week they'd have got in ok, I know that happens from speaking to others.

So what is the rule, is it under 18 or under 16, if they're 16 and older why can't I get tickets?
As it stands now they aren't going.

11? Why do we need more than 5, maybe 6? Then we'd cut a lot of expensive and needless senior management jobs and the money could go on what we really need, frontline staff.

Mind you, that's without the extra costs of th Senedd.

Lets face it, icreasing the numbers in the bay is only going to make other services in Wales poorer and they will suffer as a result. Not that the charlatans in the senedd will care because they'll get first class services, being VIP's....laughable really, that lot being VIP's!

I've said it before, I think the Americans thought they were getting a stable EPL club for their money. I don't think they unerstood the situation here at all. Most of us could see the drop coming, we saw the gradual fading of our team but Levein etc, they got sold the fairy tale by our previous owners and went with it.

Maybe they thought, being smart alec USa businessmen that they knew better and were certain they were getting something more, more bang for their buck. They're more knowledgeable today, about Uk football, that's for sure.

I think they want out but don't want to admit it.

We went to the first 2 home games and we travelled to WBA and Coventry, there has been improvement yet I am not planning on going Sunday.

I hadn't even realised it was Sunday until today. Once that fire has been put out, it's hard to re-ignite I guess.

I planned watching on t, my son has asked about going and I said no. He can go if he wants but he won't travel there by bus or train, he expects me to drive him because he's a wuss
