We're sending down some right tripe today, the bowlers are all over the place.

No agree, i'm not talking about asking them. I was just saying that the lights don't seem very bright, they are probably fit for purpose though. It's up to the owners what they do. If more lights need installing in certain areas they might conider doing the work at the same time as the pitch.

Yes, the conditions and format of these Tests heavily favour Australia. No team batting first and scoring over 260 in the first innings has lost one of these day/ nights, this next session is the crucial one i think.

5-2 ...why do we bother? Incompetent England.

Edit...lunch and a good response from Crawley and Root. Surely we can now bat out the remainder of the day and put 300 on the board, give ourselves a chance.

Even more so should a Supporters Trust be gifted a Golden Share in the Club. At that point it becomes imperitive that those responsible for the gifting have put measures in place which encompass the entirety of the membership when it comes to any issues relating to the share in the future. Trust committee members come and go over the years for a variety of reasons, it can never be left to those individuals to be the sole decision makers when it comes to anything involving the Golden Share. That should always be down to the whole membership and needs including in any legal documents in respect of a Golden share. Not sure what will happen at our club, probably 75% of fans have not joined the Trust.

A Supporters Trust committee that are a law unto themselves and don't see themselves as accountable to their members. Mismanagement of their members money and no consultation. Once the Trust has gone, the donations and the goodwill also goes.

On a similar subject, what are peoples thoughts on the floodlights? The lighting looks a little below what it should be to me, in comparison to other clubs. I wonder if at the same time as fixing the pitch it would be possible to wire up a few extra lights maybe along the front edge of the Willbutts Lane Stand or the main stand. That's if the budget will stretch. Maybe it's my eyesight failing though, that's also a possibility.

Excellent read, covers all the relevant points. Converting more of our chances and the final scoreline reflecting our domination of games is a good objective as we start the month of December. Increasing our goal output can only lead to good things.

AGM

Plenty of progression both on and off the pitch since the last AGM. The three year plan to return back to the EFL is very much on course thanks to further investment in the squad, hopefully we can do it a year earlier with promotion at the end of this season. If not, i'm confident we can do it next season. The infrastructure of the club is improving, highlighted by the installation of the new pitch, solar panels and reburbishment of the 1907 lounge and also the upgrade of the turnstiles/ ticketing system Project 5000 isn't easy, especially in the winter months and for that to really skyrocket i think we need a Play Off win at Wembley or to win the league, promotion back to the EFL anyway...the away attendences themselves will boost our home crowds. All of the above has cost a awful lot of money and that will be reflected in the annual figures over the next few years. The cost to relocate elsewhere in the borough would have needed massive invrstment, so it's all relative i suppose. Thank god for the Ogden family.

Dalla wearing a ten gallon hat would be very apt with it being the last ever game played on that pitch 😀

If it does end up being Accrington there are also trains from Rochdale to Accrington that stop at Littleborough. Not sure if that would work out for the evening kick off but it works for the Saturday fixture. Wherever we play let's remember it's somebody else's home that they have kindly invited us into and treat it with respect. No stupid behaviour or grafitti etc. The club are forking out enough money without being hit with a bill for damage caused. As a fanbase we're a lot better than that.

Dallas is Southend's most influential player, he's class at this level. He was injured yesterday and it's thought it could be a hamstring, if that's the case they will miss him next week. The way we are playing this season though i have full confidence we can win every game.

Yes we overplayed in the final third during the second half, especially down our right hand side. Players waiting for the ball to come into the box but we turned down the opportunity and lost the ball by being too intricate instead of putting it in the danger area. Get the ball in to Mani and he'll score.

Another very good display defensively again yesterday. In fact we were good all over the pitch. There is one team that stands out in the final third this year and that's York, they're ruthless up front. I think we need to be more dynamic up front and we are missing another real goal threat, for the amount of posession we have we should be scoring more goals really. That's my only criticism.

I thought the shot was straight at him and we got a bit lucky with the ball bouncing between two of their players from the save but you could be right, i'll have to see a replay. I'm not criticising him i just thought we defended well and he didn't have much to do, so it's hard to judge him. His distribution with his feet was very good. I can't remember one long kick from him up to Mani yesterday, that's a tactic we've used in games this season, having said that they had a massive central defender who i thought was very good. First impressions of the keeper, he looked very competent.
