Imagine if Our CEO apologised for the Williams situation last season. It’s now resolved, and Marti stays , vindicated in his criticism 🤷‍♂️.
Stranger things have happened…..

at 14:25 8 May 2025

My old man was in the DDay landings but on this day it’s not him i think about. He had crossed the Rhine by then and at least he had a gun or two.
No it’s my Mum that I think of , 24 years old with three young children. For my Mum, the guarantee that there would be no more bombs or V2 must have been profound.
Anyone that lives in a house built before 1945 should try to imagine that people would have left their front door 80 years ago with that sense of relief .

Congratulations 👍. My daughter is 21 now and at uni in Liverpool. She has a season ticket, but she gets to more away games than at home. It’s really great going with her to games and I feel very lucky. The last away game was Preston which was brilliant 🔵⚪️🔵⚪️🔵⚪️. Hopefully you’ve got something like this to come 😀 Until then , try to get some sleep when you can 😂

The coldest/wettest you've ever been at a match
at 20:20 2 Jan 2025

I went to that game against Birmingham City on NYD 1980 and I can confirm it was the coldest match I have ever been to. So cold , I remember that I couldn’t clap, it was too painful. Another odd thing I remember about that game is that there were two Wolverhampton Wanderers fans in our section supporting us because they hated Birmingham City so much.

The wettest was more recent, away to Blackpool two seasons ago, just before most fans got Ito the ground, it was biblical, and everyone came in drenched 😂

A small point but Rillington Place was in W11 . My late Brother used to deliver newspapers to him and collected payment from him at a cafe that was close by.

My money is on Frey and Celar , what does everyone else think ?

First Cinema you saw a film in?
at 17:29 4 Sep 2024

My old man met my mum in The Electric Cinema in portobello road in 1938. I used to go there in the 1960’s when it was called “the bug hole “ with my nan.
I used to go to the odeon Westbourne Grove for Saturday Minors late 1960’s. I went there in the late 1970’s to watch Kung Fu movies late at night.
The Coronet Notting Hill Gate showed more arty movies in the 1980’s ( Woody Allen type )
Remembering an actual film …. There was a cinema in the “new” Shepherd’s Bush shopping precinct, and my sister took me to see Oliver in 1968
