MC's appraisal, along with others, are that he is not good enough. That is my thoughts on him as well from what I have seen. In saying that, fair play to him this season, he has done good on the goal front.....big difference from the Championship though. I think I have posted before but I was speaking to an educated football man and played a bit who is an Orient season ticket holder and also follows them away - he said he would not be good enough for the Championship. Perhaps, I am being harsh on the fella but we will see very soon if he is in MC's plans or if he is not. |

It appears that he will have a contract for next season. Many of us have seen him play over the years in the Championship, we should have all seen how very limited he was...... I don't know what Clubs do now re transfers but I would put him on the transfer list and get some money in asap and stop wasting everybody's time by giving him 'another chance'......perhaps, a Championship side would be happy to sign him - more money for us good luck to them!!!! Birmingham would be my choice, Dykes signed for them and he is no better. |

Edwards & Colback will start in midfield if our CBs are fit.......Varane could start too. Not sure about Morgan & physicality. Two normal wingers with Frey up front. Back 4....FB's Paal & Dunne then depending on fitness Cook , Fox & the other two. We have a good chance...... |

Terribly unlucky with so many injuries, even now we are missing good players due to injuries.....it has killed us. Very disappointed because with the players & the Management Team we have at the Club we should be in the top 10 at least. |

100% - It is basically down to wages and not playing ability. He is well good enough for our Rangers team and not as as a back up. [Post edited 17 Mar 15:34]

Thank you Pedro......not a stats man myself but I find the passing, whom posters moan that we are not good at......79%!!! Are you a 'ginger' supporter?? |

He may have a say in the playing side but MC has the final say ........ 99.9% of the time. Next thing I will being told he picks the Team and who takesall of the dead ball situation!!!!! |

Do you think our manager is decent??? Why does MC pick him whenever him if fit and available. Also listen to MC interviews, JC gets a mention frequently? Please explain. Surely if he is as bad as you are saying he would not get a 'sniff' of the starting 11. Your stuff is not the way I see it, all negatives basically. Your comments like many posters are very wrong and very limited. |

Shocking that Hunter, proper shocking. I just cannot believe it, really. If I ever get an opportunity, and im going to make sure I attend, to go to the next FF I will ask him even if I have to cause a commotion. If he says he is the DOF I will ask him what he does. I want to get to the bottom of this once & for all. A tracksuit with his initials.....well, well well, what can I say - i want a picture in the programme. |

The jury is still out on him for me.....just cannot make my mind up. Scored a couple of decent goals. He does need to get better though. Id keep him about Kelman though, just to see him more. |

Nourry's main responsibilty is running the club(not football wise).....the DOF is mainly football orientated. MC job is managing the Team and that includes the players and systems that we play. All this other nonsense about Nourry is as I say nonsense. Next thing I will be reading is that Nourry is on the training pitch deciding how we execute free kicks and defending the penalty area. Its nonsense. |

we are not going done Wombat.....surely not |

I would just say, simply, we have some pretty average strikers.......at best. Spend all our available transfer money on 2 good strikers in the summer. |

I think it is a 'load of old rubbish' that Nourry has anything of any real football stuff to do with the DOF role......not sure why posters think he has. Why would he?? If I ever see him the first question to him after saying hello how are you?? would be what DOF stuff do you do for the club!!! |

Yet another post knocking Colback that has no 'real meaning'...........wtf do you actually mean??.....can't stand him!!!, weirdly very little back bone!!!! abrupt busts of violence!!!!!, cant wait to see him out!!!! At least the manager thinks he is a good player and not posters!!!! I suppose you would prefer EDB!!!! or Ashby!!!! |
 | Forum Reply | The Ginger ninja. at 09:37 17 Mar 2025
Another one who doesn't understand!!!!......What are this 'free passes'??? What does that mean??? Yes, he is a 'hot head', not this season though. The penalty was very debatable. Don't know if he has created any goals tbh. Stas eh, use them however you want to your advantage - I watch the game and form an opinion. Yea he may be costing a bit. I would suggest anyone with his experience would 'cost a bit'. Big question - Why does MC pick him whenever he is fit & available?? I will answer that one for you!!! Because he does a good job for the Team. |

1 - He is far from lazy or as you say 'his work-rate and effort are inconsistent and questionable'....shocking observation!!! 2 - He is one, if not, one of the best players in the team to show up and want the ball. He does not hide either - he wants the ball........shocking observation. 3 - re your 47.20 & 49.20 (which may actually be more 49 mins)......what do you want him to do, on 49 mins we are bringing the ball out of defence, Colback is showing for the ball but it it is a pretty poor pass by Saiko to Colback - goes behind him!!!! Boro break, what did Colback do wrong????......shocking observation!!!! Re 47.20 - Morrison was 'well beaten' by Morris and Colback came across to cover - what do you want him to do??? Colback gets the blame, as usual. Not good observation by you or your mates, sorry. [Post edited 17 Mar 9:08]

Why do you think his 'work-rate and effort are inconsistent and questionable'?? As I have said, posters need to look at replays of the game and watch Jack Colback.....perhaps then posters views will change. At least our Manager sees the importance of Colback to the team and why he picks him whenever he is fit. As for renewing his contract.....without doubt it depends on his wages not his 'good' for the Team. |
